Lol breh I'm not thinking about it now. The visuals work well but everything else just fell flat for me
it wasn't the perfect movie the hype and I thought it would be but enough of it worked overall plus it's been 10 days and it's still on my mind

:wow: i can finally read through the thread fully

nolan, did it again :banderas:

i'll give my full thoughts in a few :troll:

edit:

i give away key plot points, dont keep going if you havent seen it, if so thats on you :manny:
i know there is a lot of talk about nolan and emotion, well he hit it right on the head in this one. beautifully constructed relationship between father and daughter

soundtrack, great. only helped to further establish the emotionally connection and helped you feel the magnitude of what was going on. the scene with him driving away to go to the mission was one of my favorite.

i thought the plot was well done. again this is a movie so if you are going in trying to logically make sense of everything you've failed before it has started to roll. i know he says he was trying to make it as scientifically accurate as possible but at the end of the day this is FICTION!

so many lies :banderas: M caine, M damon :banderas:

obviously visually it was great, i wish there was an opportunity to see more worlds and maybe some lifeforms but thats me nitpicking

the they/aliens/us thing could have been laid out more but i liked the interpretation of making time a physical concept

only things i didnt like:
while the dialogue was great, it kind of ran on at some moments
also, too long. i know sometimes you have a lot of story to tell but you also want to keep your viewer engaged. i figure thats why he cut to the scenes back on earth and back to space to try and keep it fluid but time won this battle
the guy that died on the water planet was a horrible death. no need for him to have died then, if you want to get rid of his character fine. but the way he went out :camby:
i also see there is complaints about MM making it through, :manny: he chose to go in the blackhole, nobody knows what goes on in there so we cant really complain that hard about the consequences

overall i give it a 4+/5

i thought it was a well done movie, but i can definitely understand why some might not like it

now time to read through and see you all bash my directing gawd nolan

:dead: at this part from a review I read:

“Interstellar” offers an intriguing mix of old and new, blending a ’70s-style aesthetic with cutting-edge special effects. In just one of many eye-popping moments, one of the potential new homes Coop and his crew visits is plagued by enormous walls of water that make those waves in “The Perfect Storm” look like flatulence in a bathtub.

THe ending to Lucy was better then interstellar.

Girl becomes a god through drug overdose and transforms herself a into cosmic flash drive containing all knowledge about the known universe

vs.

Guy ends up in pocket universe created by fifth dimensionals in order to push books of a bookshelf and send messages to his past to save humanity
