my second viewing was equally dope. final 35 or so minutes is going down in cinema history brehs. the sequence that starts with them chasing matt damons character to the endurance spaceship, to them all going their separate ways as they are being sucked in by the black hole, to the visuals of the black hole with all the light around it ? man it will go down in cinema history. i cant think of anything more epic ever been put to screen. and i include spielberg, cameron, zemeckis etc

watching them circle that black hole was crazy. you dont really want those visuals to end.

:pachaha: Yep. I was thinking about that scene specifically on the ride back home. It was borderline comedic how she dismissed him.
It goes back to what the father in law stated. Tom was born at the wrong time. At heart hes an adventure enthusiast, and this time, the death of his daughter, he gets to really enjoy being a pilot. He has the technology, he no longer has babysitting issues, and theres some poon at the end of his travels.

Yeah
me my bro and lady all started cracking up during that fight scene. shyt was so random and kinda silly. Seemed like the whole theater was middle aged cacs all serious and shyt.
I'm not a middle aged CAC and I was serious when watching that scene. The idea of it is pretty scary and the fact that matts character was talking to him about his kids as he's gasping for breath was pretty scary

I guess i just wasnt as emotionally involved and that scene was kind of humorous for some reason...for me all the emotional and serious scenes didnt have that impact necause i dont think Nolan did a good job in the first act setting all that up. dude meets nasa and is on a ship to staurn two hours later they made it seem. shyt was so rushed and the fact the other crew members including hathaway are just not interesting nor developed to care about. so dont be mad people nit pick this movie( u must be a nolan stan who can do no wrong) nolan doesnt leave u much choice when he leaves big holes and doesnt make the characters worth caring about. thats my problem w. this flick.

Also people don't be fooled. New York has one of the few REAL Imax screens. Don't let these theaters fool you into thinking you are seeing IMAX. It has the Brand name but it's not the same screen. This is the screen I saw it on Yesterday in Manhattan:

nikkas are nitpicking every fukking thing about this film m.
Damned if you do damned if you don't lol

People tend to nitpick when they didn't enjoy something. I mean that's why I'm doing it. I can recognize it was a well-made film, but I didn't really enjoy watching it even though I felt like I should have, hence my attempts to try and explain why.

Nolan spent more time on character development in the first act than just about any other blockbuster I've seen as of late. The people I went with, who had no clue about who Nolan was (not movie buffs in the slightest), all were enraptured.

If anyone but Nolan had made this exact same movie, I don't think you'd have these many criticisms.

Also why the black dude even stay, I know he wanted to get some work done. But at best he was gunna be alone for like 3-4 years. :dahell:

Worst part was he ain't accomplish shyt up there, talking about you need to see past the event horizon to understand. :dahell: Just wasted 23 years of your life for that. Actually considering he died right after, maybe he extended his life by 23 years. Another Paradox? :lupe:

He stayed up there to further study the black hole, he also helped come up with the calculations that made it possible for them to get to Mann's planet. The reason why he didn't just sleep is because he said he felt guilty and he didn't want to waste the time when he could be getting shyt done, especially when they were down on the planet perhaps saving humanity itself he didn't want to just sleep.

What cracks me up is how everyone was talking about how "accurate" Gravity was, and how "implausible" Interstellar is...when actually Interstellar is the more scientifically sound film.

Relativity and Time/Space aren't just plot devices for the writers for the most part...they were bound to them in the same way we are. And based of the studies many scholars believe that Time is the next dimension for us to master...it's just the closest we have ever gotten to it is the microprocessor.
