It was damn near outright replied that Amelia volunteered for the mission in order to see her boyfriend. Also, you overlooked the part that they had test tube fertilized eggs on their ship. Plan B was to create test tube babies and repopulate the Earth that way. Lastly, being that Dr. Brand knew humanity's is lost, you may think as a father he wants his own daughter to continue living beyond that.

Oh..aight. Thanks for breaking that down.

I was wondering how that was all supposed to work out :patrice:

So Nolan is clearly obsessed w/ time. Memento, Inception, and now his "*magnum opus," Interstellar.

The plot...:what:
The fact that it was a movie about space exploration... WITH BARELY 10 MINUTES OF ACTUAL SPACE EXPLORATION... :beli:
The 12 scenes of crying... :snoop:

The robot...:patrice:
The Matt Damon fight sequence...:usure:

This shyt should have been called soap opera clusterfukk in space featuring salty tears.

If you watch it as an unintentional comedy it gets way better IMO. That scene where the robot was galloping in the water after saving ol' girl.. :dead:

I will say, some of the visuals were really cool and the soundtrack & acting are what saved the movie.

Thats a bullshyt assessment considering the universe is 99.9999999999999% not-terrestrial and they spend most of their time in between places which is what space travel actually would be. :beli:

I think the Dr Mann fight scene was stupid...BUT at the same time dude was delusional. Let see how you act knowing that humanity itself will come to an end.

They shown how it would be like going inside a worm hole, a black hole, and be out of time/space :what:

Worm hole took about 2/3 minutes. Walking around planets was another 8 or so minutes until a tidal wave or Matt Damon getting agro. The black hole sequence was okay (SPOILER) until Nolan ran out of ideas and had the black hole end in a fukking bedroom. Dude entered a black hole. In another solar system. In a COMPLETELY different galaxy. And ended up... wait for it... in his daughter's bedroom. :beli:

I thought I was going to watch a movie about exploring deep space and exoplanets. What I got was a hyper stylized soap opera about human insecurity.

Then again, this is Nolan's MO so I suppose it's my fault for expecting something more.

Intentionally avoided the spoilers but will go back and read. But until they met "the man" (double entrendre) it was a good dialogue film. But once "the man" turned heel it became an amazing film. Just action packed, edge of your seat, what's gonna happen next type of film. If the film was 2 hrs and it turned like that the last 30-40, then I would say movie of the year.

I mean I get why people said see it in Imax. But for me there were amazing scenes. Not an amazing world. I hated Gravity (I know that goes against the opinion of this board) but at least I felt like I was in that world. Despite Sandra Bullock's overdramatic acting and boring dialogue. This film just failed to capture the beauty of God's (sorry naturalist) creation for me. As a whole. Certainly at parts (black hole, worm etc.) but as a whole I was really underwhelmed about their travel. I guess it was too "realistic" in that sense. And I needed more colors instead of the dreariness feel.

Not saying they needed to jack "Gravity" but they could have had made it a way more dangerous type of film to it. Not that I didn't appreciate the dialogue. I did. Tarintino and Nolen are people I just love to hear people talk. But it just needed more balance in the action.

But again, that last part after a character turned heel until the end was the best ending I've seen this year. But as a whole I still rolling with Captain America as movie of the year. And I'm not a comic book fan at all.

Interesting... you're like the 1st one that had issues of the visuals of the film. :lupe:
