Just got back. I was blown away, but I can see why some might take issue at the ending. I personally thoroughly enjoyed it and glad Nolan took the route that he did.

The visuals were fukkin crazy. The suspense lasted damn near the whole 3 hours, thanks in large part, to Hans Zimmer's score, which I thought was great.

I dunno man. As you're watching the film, you kinda just feel like you're witnessing something monumental. It's hard to explain, but it's almost like the film has an aura due to Nolan's ambitious film making. Cinematography was so dope.

I can't remember the last time I had THAT kind of experience in a movie theater. The closest was Avatar, but this was even better than that.

Just returned from this

Ladies and Gentleman, go see this movie.

I have never experienced a sci fi film like this one. Hell, any film for that matter

If you like space, time travel, worm holes than you'll love this film

Nolan did it with this one

well i can easily answer the bold part, when Cooper sees his daughter at the old age in the bed, she pretty much says everyone thought she was crazy. were basically supposed to assume they put her up in a mental hospital until they finally believed her stories. you can even see it when she tells her brother its him hes the ghost, and she burned down his crops, his look is supposed to infer that his sister just lost her mind. i took that away from it anyway

But didn't that scene...

... cut almost straight to her solving the equation and yelling "Eureka!" because they can save humanity? It was almost as awkward a transition as Cooper leaving his family and cutting right to them jetting off into space.

how does one communicate seemingly complex formulas or "data" using morse code delivered by watch hands? :patrice: I didn't mind the transition when he left, but that entire third act was just :dwillhuh:. I can live with a little bit of the typical Hollywood "lets glaze over the fine details", but :aicmon:

I think that explaining how was a moot point. The point was the discovery to connect with the 5th dimension. Murph was considered an astrophysical genius (
even though it took her realization DECADES to grasp it
). Interesting enough, in science, it's the simplest things that gives answer to the most complex equations. Sir Issac Newton wouldn't of discover the mathematics of gravity had it not been for the apple.

This hsould have been directed by Spielberg. Nolan is a good director but this territory is not for him....

Cause her father was considered dead for 80 years and they thought she was crazy when she 1st solved the equation cause she was telling them her "Dead" father gave her the equation.

I agree with you but I give Nolan a lot of credit for really bringing that Spielberian Energy. When JJ Abrams did it with "Super 8" he got closer than Nolan did but Nolan got close here. Spielberg is the King of Emotions. Nolan really did a fantastic Job with the Father/Daughter relationship.

That scene in the Hospital was Spielberg all day. Really emotional stuff. That's why I love this movie. Nolan has been way to COLD, I wanted him to open up as a storyteller. "Inception" he tired a little with Leo and his Kids relationship but even that film turned very Cold. "Interstellar" was very heart warming film so he finally accomplished that great emotion. But to your point, I wished Steven stayed on the project. This movie clearly was all him. I felt his energy watching it.
