Saw this last night....I think it was a great movie and very well done....alot of the people in the theater got choked up on alot of those scenes.....the film is somewhat of a roller coaster as you anticipate the ending to see how it will all play out.....I will say one thing......
that motherfukker Matt Damon was the perfect selection for this role....I knew he was gonna be on some shady shyt.....:russ:
.....of course there are some parts of the movie that were absolutely preposterous but that's why its a movie....

Gravity had some of the best visuals I have ever seen in film.. and that's not a slight to Nolan or this movie cause they were good too.

I agree, the effects were great. My only point is it didn't show much of "SPACE". It just showed Earth. "Interstellar" showed way more of the Universe.

Also for people saying "Spielberg would of ended differently". Actually the ending was VERY Spielberg cause if they really kept it real:

Matthew should of DIED in the blackhole and the New colony should of been the new human race as everyone on earth dies. The fact that he survived the Blackhole and even saw his daughter in the end on her death bed had Steven written all over it, it was basically a happy ending if you think about it.

No it's not. He left that open for interpretation. "They" could of very well been a higher form of consciousness (Aliens/Extraterrestrials, God etc)

He said they are "US":mjlol:

That's not interpretation....remember when they first went into the wormhole and Brand touched the gravity anomaly and said I just made the first handshake? That was Cooper apparently:mjlol:...when we initially believed it may have been some alien shyt.

They dropped the ball...and you fell for the bait....not me though

That's not a plothole. It was an intentional time paradox. It presented the question of which came 1st; the chicken or the egg. It was meant to be ambiguous.
I cant buy that explanation cause its a cop out.. The whole film tried to be very literal and offer scientific explanations no matter how ridiculous it started to get and then at the end your supposed to just buy into some sort of ambiguous fantasy that goes against the spirit of the film? Naw. Its a giant plot hole.

That's not real because we don't know what happens in a black hole...its all speculation and theory....so to say he should have died is speculation on your part...and if these black holes/worm holes are being manipulated by someone then the assumption is they were made

EXACTLY...how you make a movie based off scientific theory based off actual research...then throw a clear paradox in there that has no basis in any science or reasonable explanation??

Word. They really should have just included aliens without trying to make it super heartfelt. It would've explained so much more and solved the major plot holes.

Yeah I caught that but I think Nolan did that to show it more from Matthew's perspective. He didn't go all the way with the explanation but it still left more questions like how are we multiple dimensional beings in the future. Who/What made that possible? There was definitely a spiritual/religious component going on.

The script did the same thing....How the hell was he able to convey complex mathematical theory using morse code with a analog watch????:scust:
Actual science is stranger than fiction sometimes.
It's all based on the combination of relativity, the power of gravity, and mastering the mysteries of the universe. The main reason is due to "THEY" unlocked and mastered the mysteries of the universe and therefore able to manipulate it.

Right ...I wish everyone would read that old script...because it actually had to plots in it that were very interesting......it implied the wormhole was built because the ice planet was on the verge of destruction and the lifeforms there needed a way off there planet.....so there were 2 birds being killed with humanity and another lifeform

Right.. but there is now way Murph should have reasonably been able to decipher how to manipulate gravity based off morse code that her dad was giving her.....in the script...it was actually Murphy's kid who figured it out after decades of Murphy trying to figure out the data

But it's a movie at the end of the day, not a documentary. You can't expect "Factual" Science 100% in a fictional story. The paradox was fine cause it was a different take rather than "It's God, It's Aliens" we've seen that done a million times. This was a different take on it. Also this isn't a story of "Who Created Us", this is a story of "How do we survive outside of Earth".
