The last few years actually a very good time for PLA. Lots of new equipments are entering service:Spending money in the military is a waste when your population is aging and shrinking.
They gon have geriatric generals with dementia talmbout 'attack them with swords like the old days!'
How are they handling people leaving China and taking their money with them and not wanting to come back? What is stopping another bird flu or swine flu or covid from coming out of their wet markets? How are they addressing the insane housing prices? Military power is great when you have a strong, loyal, healthy and renewable fighting force. Its not when you cant get much volunteers to join, and the people you draft aren't motivated to fight.
- 8 new 13,000 ton class Cruisers, 25 7,500 ton class destroyers, 30 4,000 ton class frigates and 3 new LHDs
- New infantry weapons and body armors
- J-20 stealth fighter entered service
- J-35 carrier fighter, KJ-600 AWACS, Y-20B transport, J-20S double seater prototypes flew in the past few months
- New IFV, SPH, Light tank and ATGM
- New helicopters Z-20 and Z-8L
- New CATOBAR Carrier Type 003 under construction
- Beidou navigation system completed
- DF-17 HGV Ballistic missile operational
- Enlargement of Jiangnan Shipyard
- Completion of new Bohai Nuclear Submarine Shipyard facilities.
- New type 039C diesel electric submarine
- H-6N nuclear bomber operational completing the nuclear triads
- WS-10 and WS-20 engines operational while W-15 still progressing
- 200+ new ICBM silos
