I liked it, a lot...and I expected to NOT like it beforehand. I’ll say though, the developers of the doll itself are stupid af.

Ok, I'm split on this movie. As a Child's Play movie, it was mediocre. Wasn't scary at all, just gory. Made Chucky a sympathetic character, then homicidal killer. Hopefully there isn't a sequel because it will only be worse. I'll just follow the original story line on the tv series later this year. However, as a standalone movie, it wasn't bad. I was entertained. It had jokes, and it made sense in this day and time. Watch it if you have nothing else to watch or wait for video. It's not something, that has to be seen in theaters. Biggest take from this is that they could have done better with the design of Chucky. This is definitely a movie that I want to see what younger people, who have never seen the OG series, think about this.

Saw it this weekend. Was better than expected tbh

My biggest gripe was how ugly the dolls were. Nobody would buy those things for their kids.

Nowhere close to the IT remake, which far surpassed the original (original was awful) but it wasn't bad either. It was ok

Wasn’t terrible. But there was absolutely no need for this to be a Child’s Play movie. It being a “Chucky” doll added nothing to the movie. Serial killer > Rouge AI
