Saw it, movie was just meh. Another cash grab remake that doesn't need to exist. Was funny how they joked about Aubrey Plaze being too young to be a mom like three times though

This shyt was really dope for the most part. If you in the theater not expecting a whole lot, you will have a great time with it. The changes to Chucky's character work well with the world we live in today and I thought his progression from innocent to evil felt natural really and provided a whole new layer of creepiness to the film. Like I legit went from "Aww" to "What the f---?!" and back to "Damn my homie in timeout".Hamill I was really impressed with, he really held his own. (Not surprised) Had me on the edge of my seat during those last 15 minutes.

While noticing the sci-fi influence, I couldn't help but think that this felt more like a Chucky featured episode of Black Mirror, which after a lackluster season five, would've been a dope ass addition. Like damn what if we got this instead of that Miley Cyrus bullshyt?

This is one of those movies that is just utterly shyt in many ways, but somehow still manages to be enjoyable. All the jokes are dumb as fukk, the kills needlessly complicated for no goddamn reason and you could punch a thousand holes through the script, but it brings fukkery and fukkery is always entertaining.

They also got the best possible voice actor in Mark Hamill to replace Brad Dourif, of course that should be obvious but he truly is one hell of a great voice actor.

Sounds like par for the course Child's Play

just got back...i liked it...still prefer OG over it though. Hamil was perfect as Chucky. Had that Joker attitude. good kills

didn't really like it was all cause some worker was mad at his boss..but it works as a premise...I'm guessing the name Chucky was the original owner's name they gave the doll...disappointed it really had no relevance.

Didn’t like it. Got what they were going for with the horror comedy satire thing but the satire wasn’t sharp enough—pun intended—and it wasn’t funny enough or horrific enough. So it ended up being a middle of the road flick that had a good idea with meh execution.

The kills were on point tho and the actors did good with what they were giving. But damn near all of them were undercut. Especially the kids.

That said, I wasn’t bored by it. So that’s something

Hamill is always on point. The movie just didn’t do for me what a good horror comedy should do. And it wasn’t as smart as it thought it was. But all the performers did what they needed to do. Just needed a better movie to do it in
