Looking for it. I maybe miss remembering. Again I read it in a physical news paper.

:martin: nikka the link would be online. You are 100% misremembering it. It’s possible that 24 shootings may have happened but definitely not 24 murders in Brooklyn, let alone NYC. That would have been without a doubt nationwide news and would have been a record for murders in a day.

Yeah maybe it was shootings. Since then I've gotten a concussion during an mma match so. It could be.

Do you live in Chicago?

My point is, the average black person is not going to be thinking about Chicago, because it doesn’t affect us. It’s not to say we don’t care, it’s just that it’s not our neighborhood, and those of us not involved in drug or gang activity aren’t as concerned. We can move to low crime areas, but we can’t stop being black. So to say we only care when it’s a white person killing us, is false. The outrage from cops killing black people comes not only because they are rarely held accountable, but because without the protest, there usually isn’t a real investigation, they just take the cop’s word, then get back on the street to hurt other people.

And on top of that, they are paid with TAX DOLLARS, thus need to be held to a higher standard than civilians.

I think about Chicago because it's reflective of what goes on in many cities with large black populations. What I said for Chicago needs to happen everywhere.

And WHO is going to implement it, and with WHAT money?

This is the point I’m making. What are the steps after addressing it, and who are we addressing? Local Chicago residents? Chicago politicians? Direct these messages to THEM.

When was the last time we had national protests over civilian actions?

Protests are for the government, and businesses.

There is NO way people are this obtuse!

Is it about personal responsibility or not?
Protests/marches can be about anything the point is to bring about attention and subsequently change.

Attention doesn’t stop civilians from doing things. They aren’t going to see people protesting, and say, hmmm, I should probably stop doing this. All that does is make white people and others feel justified in looking down on us. No other group of people publicly critisizes each other. This needs to be done on a local level.

Who exactly would we be protesting against?
Awareness needs to be brought it...
Why are people so sensitive at looking at the gun violence that plagues our communities? We call out every single injustice towards us but we don’t look at what we do to one another.

The reason why we are where we are is we tear each other down. If we worked together to liberate ourselves we could be so much further along
