Do we have a responsibility? Absolutely. However, where is law enforcement? This is police sponsored genocide. They can patrol black neighborhoods the same way they patrolled protests, but they don’t. They allow murderers to walk the street.
Black people are the only people who are diagnosed with a sickness and expected to cure themselves.
Why do ppl just assume all of the victims are black? Yes it was a violent day but there was a ton of shyt going on from gang shyt with Mexicans and cops. I believe they count the outlying areas and suburbs into these numbers as well and a lot of the shyt spread county wide on top of a lot of people being outside...

It's not so much a black on black crime problem as it is a gang problem.
It's warring neighborhoods beefing with each other and a seemingly endless string of revenge killings. As someone already stated, it's not even about drugs. It's become a lifestyle for a lot of these youngins.
Imagine living in a city where you have to be careful about what neighborhoods you can go to, because the neighborhood you rep is beefing with 3 or 4 other neighborhoods/sets. The mental toll alone that a lot of these kids go through needs to be studied.
Unfortunately, as long as these small sets continue to beef with each other, there will always be violence. There were 85 people SHOT just last weekend. Those are not random incidents.

Crazy. Was in the Chi this past Feb for all star and thought it was a dope ass city and the opposite of what you hear about. My family I was staying with stay on S Halsted if any brehs know where thats at. Got fam on the westside too and it was love everywhere I went.

Why do people think there aren't people in Chicago speaking out against this violence, holding marches, doing seminars and trying to figure out ways to stop the violence?
It's the equivalent of people thinking black people only speak out when white people kill black people.
