There are so many of these killings that if the CPD were behind this it would have been exposed by now. Perhaps there is some "encouragement" of chaos by the police, mainly due to negligent policing methods but I seriously doubt they are going out and committing these crimes themselves.
Nevertheless, we're going to have to put a pin in Chicago. It needs to be addressed but it's just a distraction at this point. Too many moving parts to give it the thought and consideration it needs. We have too much on our plates already.

This is what being active politically is for. Voting in people who will implement this, and staying on their necks until they do and after. Going to town hall meetings, city council meetings if they're open, and showing up at offices. You just can't vote for people and not hold them accountable. Everything that's happening now has to always be in the back of a politician's mind. Knowing that they will be replaced if they don't do what they were sent to do has to be in the back of their minds.

My point is, the average black person is not going to be thinking about Chicago, because it doesn’t affect us. It’s not to say we don’t care, it’s just that it’s not our neighborhood, and those of us not involved in drug or gang activity aren’t as concerned. We can move to low crime areas, but we can’t stop being black. So to say we only care when it’s a white person killing us, is false. The outrage from cops killing black people comes not only because they are rarely held accountable, but because without the protest, there usually isn’t a real investigation, they just take the cop’s word, then get back on the street to hurt other people.
And on top of that, they are paid with TAX DOLLARS, thus need to be held to a higher standard than civilians.

Somebody should test the water in Chicago.. for real, all those old building with old pipes (lead) has to have something to do with this recklessness. Not to mention that gangs no longer have the order they had in the 90s
