the common thread is poverty first and foremost. I think its extremely obvious that thats the main issueIts not all but its where it start. The common thing you'll find among all of them is the father wasnt around. They were raised by grandma or a single mother..

im still laughing at working for 75 dollars a week10 dollars a day for 8-10 hrs of labor

well, i partially disagree with your first point. i believe a fathers main role is providing structure for his family, you can't do that from a subordinate position. we'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.
now the bolded, that's exactly what im saying. you talking bout working for fukkin 75 dollars a week like a fukking peasant, when the dudes on the block with the real money are the dealers. if those men were all making 70-150k legitimately, ready to put the next black male on. what do you think all these chicago nikkas would be doing right now? think they'd still be shooting and perusing rap careers?
I'm actually laughing at this post
Art thou cereal?
im very cereal, as i've seen how it works in other communities. fukk 70k, make it 30k. the whole point is dudes are turning to drug dealing because most of the black men they see with money are the dealers, can you deny that?
I don't know what alternate universe @marcuz is living in where these young black boys want jobs. I'm not gonna put my business out there but my younger nephew has been stabbed TWICE this year. I tried to help him write a resume and find him a job.
GUESS WHAT ?! He wasn't interested. Lets be real, these boys aren't gonna do what normal kids their age do and get a lil job at Mcdonalds or Footlocker and actually work hard to get a cheque at the end of the month.
Real success requires WORK that means working for years, getting promoted, working hard for money and a lot of these boys want instant gratification. A normal job that kids their age have won't buy them gucci belts and all the shyt they want so they hit the bricks instead.
These kids have large appetites, while I can chill with a shirt from Levis (and I earn 6 figures) my nephew wants designer everything, designer head to toe, a big car, he wants to 'ball'. Normal jobs accessible to children their age doesn't appeal to them because their chasing things it simply can't afford.
So the 'its cos they don't have jobs' excuse is garbage. They don't want them.
