Chicago Plagued With at Least 30 Shootings Over Weekend

You say we need more jobs, How many of them are willing to work for say $75 a week? They want fast money.I straight up know kids who have part time jobs and will still stick you up, not because they want to help mom out with the bills but because they want to show off to their friends.. yeah jobs will help the good kids.. Im all for that..


Until we find ways to fix our "culture" and understand the importance of having a father in the home. most of stuff you guyz promote is useless..

what the fukk is 75 dollars a week going to buy? thats not enough money to cover the food you'd be consuming throughout the week. its not that these dudes just want "fast money", they money to live off of -- and no one is providing them w/opportunities to make that money except those in the drug game.

if you give these kids a choice between working their asses off for 75 a week, or moving them packs for 800 a week; what do you think their going to pick? like @Captain_Crunch said, these people need jobs. if they had a choice between working a legit job that paid the bills and gave them a lil extra money to play, do you think they'd be in the streets?

right, they need fathers; but what the fukk are these useless sperm donors going to do for their children w/o proper finances? what can they instill in their children? what morals or ethics would children learn from seeing their do-nothing, there but aint shyt dads? i mean, i personally believe single mothers are better off alone compared to being forced into a fake family situation with a destructive partner (eg: dads that record their kids smoking weed or think its cool for them to act like degenerates)

it all comes back to to the money, community building, and passing down wealth. until we get that in order, we will continue to see dysfunction.

every other community has a buffer zone to catch those that fall through the cracks. an uncle or cousin with a successful business, someone that can put you on. black males do not have that safety net, and it pours out into other areas like relationships, parenting, and of course, crime.

reminds me of that story about them parents that got arrested because they were basically starving their infant child. this belief that you can still be a good parent and be completely penniless is ducktales -- and i aint trynna hear about what yall grandmama or mommas did, this is a different era

No. They need more job opportunities and a police that won't keep letting shyt like this happen. Along with getting rid of government programs that sabotage their neighborhoods.

On to your first point, I know plenty of people who sell drugs( more than i care to know) most of. the time its not to put food on the table, its to try and buy the latert whip/shoes etc.. I know ones who came from single parent homes with the mom doing ok, guess what? when they sold drugs the money wasnt going back to her. My homeboy was killed last yr when he tried to rob the wrong people, he actually came from a 2 parent household, parents supported him...He didnt need to rob people, but he wanted to live another lifestyle.. I tell the truth that alot of you dont want to hear on here becauses its easier to point your finger at the white man and say he's the reason.



And the $75 a week was in reference to teenages getting jobs not adults. I know teenages(like my nephew) who would rather sell drugs than work at KFC.. why dont yal keep it real on here and stop trying to make us all look like weak victims of the white man..

it's a fair point drug dealers aren't spending their money wisely. my own theory is because its dirty money they don't know how to legitimize, so they waste it -- or they're just dudes who came from nothing and feel the need to floss. but are you saying most dudes get into that life for fun, and not because it pays? cus, hell, the people i know selling drugs arent doing it to buy the latest car or shoes, they're doing it because its the only skill set they have to pay the bills.
