the audacity of the mccaskey's to have their hand out for another $2.3B from us when they haven't paid off shyt on the soldier field renovation to the point where we (the taxpayers) owe double what that renovation originally cost 20 years ago. :pacspit:

I don't give a damn if the bears play in arlington heights or the moon. I'm not going to games like that anyways :camby:

if they want to go the dome route, why aren't they using the arlington heights site they already own?
People want to come to Chicago, not Arlington Heights. This isn’t just about football games, but concerts, other sporting events, conferences, etc…

AH was always a leverage play, but they fukked themselves pushing back on taxes.

the rams/chargers don't play in downtown los angeles. the cowboys play in arlington, not dallas. both NYC teams play in new jersey. so what are we really talking about here?

soldier field is on an EXTREMELY value piece of land that's on the lakefront. but there is limited room there to build anything else and it is a nightmare to get to logistically. by car, the traffic is :trash: and by public transportation, it's a very long walk. many times in the cold.

this new lakefront stadium is a pipe dream. I highly doubt it even occurs given the massive budget deficits of both chicago and the state of illinois.

This looks great, and they put the columns to fantastic use as a gateway to public land.

Also, suburban tears in the Bears subreddit are quite tasty. :ahh: Gringos thought they had one in Arlington Heights.

it looks good, but u are very short sighted if u think this stadium coming to fruition is a good thing. cuz it's not for anyone who lives in the city.
