What do they mean by sanctification being linked to praying bands which was feminized religious practice?
What is sanctification and praying bands within this context and why are they designated feminine?

Apparently early black women preachers were the leaders of these "praying bands" that were also blamed for encouraging these more "tribal" traditions/practices during worship that the male black church leaders weren't a fan of
