NYC isn't fixed. Manhattan was fixed, and it took Manhattan becoming a police state to do so. Much of the progress that took place in the outer boroughs has more to do with gentrification, displacement, and gangs running around more low key since their leaders got locked up forever.

Crime at least in the BX is still a regular normal thing that doesn't get reported on much because the city ain't tryna see their property values drop.

The worst areas of the Bronx and Brooklyn are tame as fukk compared to the ghettoes in cities like Chicago, St. Louis, and Baltimore.
