Nothing can be done. Poor black America is finished. It’s a wrap, the culmination of systemic racism that is now bearing the fruit of a centuries old harvest. W.E.B. Dubois was correct, in that a good portion of the black community cannot be saved and we do our people a disservice by attempting to rescue the unsalvageable. All the issues in Chicago’s black community stemmed from historic city sanctioned disenfranchisement. That needs to be addressed otherwise all other solutions are just putting a bandaid on the situation.
