Ya'll do realize what Dame was saying was the truth. He said it harshly, but yea the BLACK COMMUNITY needs BLACK BUSINESS OWNERS. how many businesses are owned by blacks in the neighborhoods they live in.

Wealth is a mind state...dame was frustrated cause he cant understand how one could have someone telling them what to do and how another person could just fire you at any time.

"I rather sell refah than do pizza delivery"- Big Pun
Yeah his argument holds little weight as the people he was talking down to are more successful and probably have more money then him everyone being a boss is unrealistic and a bad message in my opinion he was talking like envy was setting a bad example for his kids or something I couldn't disagree more. Also how can a black person start a business if he cant get a loan doesn't have start up cost and people wont patron his business its just unrealistic for most people to be successful that way in life especially black people because we have the most preconceived notions against us. There have even been studies that people wont buy ebay items such as portable electronics if they see a black persons holding the device his argument is just to simple in my opinion and is not nuanced but I guess a simple argument for a simple motherfukker like dame so I guess it makes sense.

Hard to cut through all the arrogance and bullshytting of Dame.

But this is a straw man argument from CTG. Dame's main issue isnt being a worker or employee. Its the fact that brehs who never evolve and/or have no personal assets from it.

He feels Sway and the Breakfast Club should focus on being big enough to do their own thing. Dont get settled into doing that for the next 15 to 20 years +

Its no different than when an athlete is making millions. But once he's cut, never thought about having any control of money, never though about expanding into other opportunities...and he's lost.

The truth is some people lose their jobs....and then lose themselves. It happens to a lot of celebs and a lot of people in business as well.

Now with Dame's arrogance and Harlemisms its hard to pick up on that. Yes, its disrespectful to the every day man. But the moral of the story is we dont have to be the every day man......every day man.

It took me another listen to really get what he was saying though.

It probably just needs to be said from someone other than him....cause his contradictions, his dismissive nature, etc just makes people not want to really listen.

Man is damn near delusional and this is who folks wanna follow :laff:

Saddest part of all is this, his core point is something I think we can all agree on: strive for more than what you have now

but his execution is pure unadulterated :trash:

That was terrible. Charlamagne completely took dame's comment out of context. Dame wants everyone to great. He wants you to own what you have, work for something that's yours and think outside of the box -- stop being OK with working a 9 -5 job. He wants you to want more than a job, hell, he wants you to want more than even a good job. because in that good job of yours, you still have to report to someone, you're an ant, you don't own any piece of that corporation you work for. He wants you to leave a financial legacy for your children's children and 80% of the time, you won't be able to do that working for someone.
Do you know what out of context means??? He was literally trying to go in on Envy because of the fact that he has a boss. Never mind that Envy lives in one of the richest neighborhoods on the country, nevermind that he's likely in the Top 10%.

The reason why his execution is trash, because he doesn't believe in being practical.

He doesn't value structure or discipline.

I like when he gets on celebrities about owning, so they can see more from the fruits of their labors, but his advice is garbage for the average Joe.

Exactly.

Direct quotes:

Dame: "Why not own your own radio station so you can pass it down to your son?"

Char: "But it's steps to it though-"

Dame: "No it's no steps to it because I do it"

I'm agree with char analysis but he didn't have the balls to say that in front of him, instead he let Dame shi shi shi shyt on him
He wasn't that quick, Charlamagne is pretty calculated he won't say a lot that will come back and bite him in the ass.
I mean he's given most of his guests the business, the only times I've seen him shook is when unstable people like Gucci have been there. Even with Fredro star he was on his trolling shyt.

Ctg wouldn't even tell dame who was talking shyt about him..

After dame asked for names:mjlol:

CTG wanted no parts of dame..

why don't he invite him back:heh:
Snitching is what you promote? Specially snitching on your bossess for someone who is trying to shyt on you :what:
