Also, a culture vulture picks every last bit of meat from the bones.

And leaves you with nothing. They blood suck.

Dame is not that, so Chatty Patty did some mental gymnastics to come to this assessment.

That was terrible. Charlamagne completely took dame's comment out of context. Dame wants everyone to great. He wants you to own what you have, work for something that's yours and think outside of the box -- stop being OK with working a 9 -5 job. He wants you to want more than a job, hell, he wants you to want more than even a good job. because in that good job of yours, you still have to report to someone, you're an ant, you don't own any piece of that corporation you work for. He wants you to leave a financial legacy for your children's children and 80% of the time, you won't be able to do that working for someone.

Question: Was Rocafella Records/Roc-a-Wear a success

Yes, because of Jay. I don't care how hard Dame worked behind the scenes, at the time he was aligned with what became one of the biggest stars in the history of rap. The shyt is basically a Cheat Code to success.

Let's put it like this....without Dame, could Jay be successful? Of course, since they split he's actually became more successful. He was the biggest star on Rocafella prior to that.

Now the flipside....if Jay never existed, so you seriously think Rocafella Records would've had the same status, solely off Dame's hard work? Hell fukking no.

There is certain people, just standing next to them makes you more successful. If gives you status and credibility. Jay did that for Dame....hell, prior to that, Jaz did it for Jay-Z. A few people (BIG, Kane, etc.) did it for Jay-Z....the difference is, he was able to parlay it into his own success. Dame hasn't done that.

He wasn't that quick, Charlamagne is pretty calculated he won't say a lot that will come back and bite him in the ass.
I mean he's given most of his guests the business, the only times I've seen him shook is when unstable people like Gucci have been there. Even with Fredro star he was on his trolling shyt.

Snitching is what you promote? Specially snitching on your bossess for someone who is trying to shyt on you :what:
Broski, last part isnt snitching. You must not understand the meaning of telling...

Do not say something and not name names...i wouldnt go up to someone and say hey man i heard this...not mentioning anything is the best thing. Not saying "i heard"...my boy does that and i stay checking him for that bird shyt.

I tell him, nikka tell me who said it so i can look them in the eye and show you they lying...

Question: Was Rocafella Records/Roc-a-Wear a success?

(Put your bias with Dame aside)

 @ dudes not giving Dame props like only Jay-Z albums were selling on Roc-A-Fella.

We supposed to believe dudes were buying Dip Set and State Prop albums because of Jay. Or Kanye West produced 3 straight singles off his debut albums all featuring Jay.

Dame was successful in music, people ask why hasn't done anything since the Roc broke up.

Maybe all he was good at was music. But at least he did it...

I'm agree with char analysis but he didn't have the balls to say that in front of him, instead he let Dame shi shi shi shyt on him

I don't think it's b/c Charlemagne was scared dude just isn't well versed in the art of debate. Im pretty sure it wasn't until after the interview when he read or was given other people's commentary on it is when he came up with this.

Wonder why he didn't say that to Dame there instead of on his c00n podcast? I agree with Char said tho. I also with Dame's boss rhetoric but he presents it in such a classless, arrogant way with such disrespect for others that it gets lost

People still dont get that interview. That whole interview was on some next level shyt. He wants to teach people about ownership but many people as you may have read or heard didnt like how dame put it . So for people that felt like dame was talking in circles should read two book.

One is RICH DAD POOR DAD this book pretty much ssy what dame was saying...but in a way that makes people ...COMFORTABLE.
The second one is any Dave Ramsey book which teaches you about debt

100% right.

How u gonna promote Ur movie while telling your customers they ain't "man enough"...

It's sad because when he talks he grabs your attention but he just talks nonsense at times

Go look at they sway interview and check his mannerisms... He would say something and turn his head like he is too good for ish
only people taking offence are workers, i don't know any self employed people that took offence.

His analysis sounds like he and envy still hurt about Dame tellin them they wack for not being they're own boss. Let's keep it in context, dame was saying what black people need to hear...we need to be our own bosses...we'll enjoy life as African Americans better that way. Yea he was runnin envy and dudes (I refuse to call another man Charlamagne:yeshrug:) nose in it a little, because of the Jay question, but keeping it all in context...dudes analysis is a bit of a stretch:camby:foh
