SF is a cyberpunk dystopia. If you're rich, you're gonna be alright.

I still love Oakland, tho.

Yep. The Wealth Inequality is obscene there.

The average apartment in a city should never be $3,000 a month. That's ridiculous.

You end up with a bifurcated city of wealthy elites and crashouts committing crimes.

nowhere in Florida is as expensive as SF...
and I doubt you have any major city with the widespread homelessness, crime and crazy people you see in SF

Not many cities like SF...maybe Portland...
Philly on the northeast also but the cost of living in Philly is much lower and random crime aint the same as SF

FL is a shythole though and I could never imagine living there

Bruh, Miami is just as expensive, if not more. whens the last time you went to Miami?

I was there last April, some beautiful sites and landscapes but the inequality is so transparent. I was staying in Union Square, stepped out my hotel seen a dude sitting on his ass begging for mercy like :whoa: as a dude is standing over him holding him by the collar of his shirt and proceeded to smack fire out of him knocking him on his back like :dead: all while people are walking minding their business :wow:

The amount of car alarms I was hearing going off while I was in my room :wow:

Oakland is so beautiful though with what's left of it due to Gentrification.

Much of the West coast is too expensive and overrated IMO. But I know I'm more of an East Coast type so I'm bias.

I'll visit SF for work etc but lol at living there.

SMF and LAX to VA and NC
California is the GOAT state. It's basically like if you had New York (Los Angeles), DC/Baltimore area (The Bay), Tampa Bay (San Diego Bay), Pittsburgh (Sacramento), Richmond and Hampton Roads (Fresno and Bakersfield)----->all in one state...

It's like having all these cities and surrounding areas in one state...

But SF has long marginalized it's black community and is one of the worst major cities for black people in America. I'm really trying to think of somewhere I've been, that I'd take SF over. I'd probably take SF over Boston, just for the fact I don't think I could put up with Boston winters, and Boston is also a place that the people aren't the most endearing. But it would be close...

If you're black, Sacramento has been better than San Francisco since at least 2010, Sacramento has been better than Oakland since 2015. If you're black and looking at NorCal, Sacramento is the way...

@murksiderock must be proud of Chuck for this one :pachaha:
Man's know something 🤣...

This is fair but so much of the East Coast is overrated, too...

New England is basically a bigger version of the Pacific Northwest, it's quintessential White America...

I like New York but I think it's overrated. There's nothing there that I can't do or have in Los Angeles. I think the appeal to Californians, myself included, is it's just so much different than anything we're used to. But I actually prefer the Upstate cities (Albany, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse) over The Boroughs...

Maryland is super fukking overrated and trash. I don't know what the appeal of Jersey is at all 😆...

I do love Virginia, DC, most of Pennsylvania and Upstate New York though!

The entire south is overrated outside of two or three NC cities, two or three Texas cities, Nashville, and I guess two or three Florida cities. Everything else in the South is wack...

The entire Midwest outside of Ohio is garbage...

Everything is about fit, so I definitely understand where you're coming from, though...

Hes not wrong. The crowds in Oakland were so crazy that they broke many sound records

I was in SF for a Dubs game and it was trash compared to the Baron Davis/Monte Ellis days

I go to SF/SJ/Sunnyvale etc. for work all the time and I know I'd rather live there than Oakland. WIth that said I will never live in the Bay.

Yeah i lived in the Mid Atlantic in the early 2000s. Actually loved Virginia (beautiful state) and DC.

I couldn't live in NYC due to cost and pollution but I feel the city has my type of people i.e diversity of thought, overall diversity etc. A lot of California feels very myopic culturally, politically and socially, though I find much of the west coast beautiful.

As far as the south I enjoy Atlanta as a city, Houston is cool but lots of scammers, humid and pollution. I hope people don't 'discover' north Carolina.

I live in the California-lite city of Texas but I think I much prefer somewhere with more seasons and more diverse people.

Last time i went to SF it was disgusting. Smelled like shyt, homeless people literally everywhere, smelly ass white people and stuck up Asians. I know the coli's collective brain is wired to think "Every single city in cali is the absolute greatest" but naw. Yall can have that shyt. I had more fun in DC than San Fran
