He’s totally in the right. The house is paid off, but there’s still taxes, bills, and unforeseen repairs. Sounds like she’s just trying to live for nothing and bank all her money.
Live free for a year, save up thousands and then dump the breh and move into her own house with the money she saved for the down payment :mjlol:

$800 a month seems like a lot for a paid off home.

She should definitely pay something, but that seems high.
800 and the half of household bills so I'd guess like 2-300

That's a whole stack to cover everything except food and personal purchase...that's damn near a steal in today's climate.

He shouldn’t have told her shyt about the paid off mortgage. I don’t understand why nikkas pillow their finances with women that aren’t their wives.
I agree but in this situation it really aint that big a deal if bro is standing on it. Which it seems he is. No point in lying to nobody. He let her know how it is and she can feel how she feel about it. He want his chop regardless. :ehh:

First of all, a 10% increase on $1800 rent is not $2000. :unimpressed:

Second of all, charging your SO a fee just to line your pockets with pure profit is some straight hoe shyt. Split the expenses 50/50. All the expenses (taxes, utilities, maintenance, everything). Personally, if I was moving in with my girl to her paid off house, I’d offer to pay 100% of the utilities, half of the maintenance and none of the taxes (it’s her house) :manny:

Doesn’t seem like she had a issue helping with bills. It’s the fact that he added “rent” to it. Rent is something you charge a roommate. You can either be roommates or be in a relationship. You can’t do both. You just can’t :yeshrug:

Same applies to parents who charge their kids rent, but want to still regulate their entire life. It’s either we have a Landlord and Tenant relationship, or we’re parent and child. Can’t do both.

The rent is probably to help out on council rates and shyt. I don’t see an issue here, he could call it something else and it wouldn’t be an issue.
