Devonta need to compromise on his route one example was the play where Hurts threw him the ball and it was incomplete near the sideline. If Devonta hot routed his route near the first down marker he could of gotten the catch.

I don't need a robot route runner just in game adjustments and self awareness from the reciever. He should know with the QB he has he dont need to complete his route 9 times out of 10 especially with that pass rush Sunday.

hurts need to make his throws

only one throw was precise all game (slant to AJ in red zone)

every other throw was out of sync w receiver causing them to slow down or dive for it

if smith hot routed... hurts would still miss

lemme see the actual statistics - what are we measuring here? just attempts vs completions?

brown had to adjust to every pass traveling more than ten yards, usually resulting in him getting tackled right away vs YAC

he did great work adjusting and making hurts look good but if those balls were ahead of him rather than behind he would usually have gotten 5 more YAC

The only ball where he had to adjust was the low throw down the left sideline inbetween the zone. Other than that he literally couldn't have had his receptions placed on him any better.
