:mjlol:People litterally only say that about Chance.

Drake is the biggest rapper in the world and still follows a traditional release model aka an album.
Drake signed to like 5 people, he aint seein NONE of that album money, he's following that traditional release model because the people he's signed to require it from him cuz thats 1 of the ways they make money off of him

Majority of these new artist dont give a fukk bout no "album" but these labels offer em advances so they take it cause havin money instantly is better than doin a ton of shows to fund your project/videos/payola/advertising

The average fan downloads albums the same way they do mixtapes so clinging onto the "album" aint necessary for anyone in this era, if anything it's just a mindset an artist should have cuz when they thin "mixtape" they get lazy and half ass stuff

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
All ya'll claiming dude is a plant....What's the industry's motives with him? I'll wait.
money....

i mean HE admitted that he's signed to CAA... the biggest and best agency in the world who has A list, 20 million a film type of actors as clients

now what's an unsigned artist who had no buzz doing getting that type of agency to represent him?

all a plant is, is someone who got where he is through industry power moves, and not through good music that people actually love

take a jay-z... he was grinding on the low, we watched him come up, and now he's where he's at

now look at chance... nobody knew this guy... signs to CAA out of nowhere... and next thing you know his very first mixtape got him on magazine covers like the source, before he even had a single out

Who cares if he's a plant....A lot of ya'll nikkas whining listen to trash rappers like Uzi Vert, 21 Savage and, Yatchy....Listen to nonsensicle rap that champions Black genocide but, those rappers ain't plants tho?

You nikkas swear everyone is a plant.

It's been well documented that Chance had a big organic following in Chicago for years. Collaborated a lot with Vic Mensa and Kids These Days.
Along with Chief Keef, Chicago youth can break artists with out labels being involved.

He probably has a great management deal to help with the GQ covers and other exposure he's getting.
Again, the mental gymnastics y'all are doing is bit much.

The biggest "rapper" in the game is a Jewish child actor from suburban Canada that doesn't write his own raps and talks in a fake Jamaican accent....but Chance being a plant is where you all draw the line?

K Dot is a plant too, by the way. Travis O'Guin exposed he was signed to Interscope long before that info was officially released, when he was supposedly building a "grass roots" buzz.

And I'm not even a fan of Chance....but the fake shyt either matters, or it don't. Across the board. And it's going to get worse from here on out, so strap in.

Fred.

These dudes are pulling a lot of shyt out of their ass to justify a plant thread. I first heard about Chance cause people on here were bigging up Acid Rap and this is like a year after it dropped. This was years ago.

It's the usual thing that happens. He's had a good year and the buzz grew. I've been trying to get my family and friends to listen to him for years now but one Kit-Kat commercial and they're all on the Chance train.

It's a response to his exposure over the past year. If he were a "plant" then surely he would've popped long before now.

streams? publishing? masters? licensing? :gucci:

He'd be penny less if the label took from that pot while he releases free abums. No label would allow him to do that. Coloring Book is still free on iTunes. There's probably millions in lost money a label missed out on for that project. It makes no sense mathematically.

how he got a fanbase with zero hits breh

now you can have a slight tour fanbase... or a good internet download for free fanbase....

but a cover of motherfukking gq fanbase... nominated for a grammy fanbase.... get the fukk out of here.. there probably aren't 10 rappers alive who got the cover of GQ and i'm supposed to believe an unsigned artist who sold zero records (literally) has the fanbase to get it :comeon:

:russell:

All you have to do is show us what label he's signed to. Stop with the theories and show the reciepts. It's been years now and you tin foil hat people haven't been able to show who he's supposedly signed to.
