if their salaries were redistributed to the other workers down the line then why not.

:ehh:
What is supposed to happen when a company posts record profits is that at least half of that money should go back to rewarding the staff and funding the development of existing or new projects.

Instead what's happening is most of it is going back to "leadership" in the company, and stock buybacks.

An AI that takes employee feedback through surveys and sends it back directly to the board of directors and shareholders as a PowerPoint presentation is more useful than a clown like Elon musk.

of course pretty much every job CAN get replaced with A.I but…if everybody is replaced, then how do companies plan on selling their products if nobody has a job? lol

so yea, the majority of lower wage/ manual labor jobs won’t get totally replaced, but I can see them getting rid of some CEO’s

Won't happen because the WORKERS would be replaced with A.I first
i mean in this hyper capitalistic world that is really the end goal but at some point even the elites will realize they still need to have consumers and consumers need jobs. this race to net zero cost for business by shedding jobs and low balling wages has ultimately got diminishing returns past a point.

Replace more jobs with AI have more people on the street and more people on social services. have less spending power. it's blind greed and it's not sustainable. It would actually make a lot of business sense to start shedding the cost of executives since they have been so driven by cost cutting initiatives to boost profit.

AI ceo is trained on the actions of other ceos. Would just be more of the same without a person you can hold accountable.
what accountability do ceo's really have to us? most of it is to corporate and shareholders to be the "leader of direction" or the "fall guy"

hold the corporation accountable. the fall guy is a distraction and that's part of their job, taking heat or taking all the props.

What’s stopping companies from using ai for it & software development?

Couldn’t all the people who work in IT be expendable?

most IT shops are filled with dead weight anyway

This goes for the little mom and pop shops up to big tech like Amazon. It’s usually the top 10% carrying the other 90% of the company.

If AI replaced most of tech in the next 5 years I would completely understand. The only thing it can’t realistically handle is pre-sales. You can’t replace that with bots
