Reigns did better than i thought but Cena crushed him at the end.

Breh, Cena did just this a few months ago with Miz, calling him a p*ssy on Smackdown

Everything the Rock says makes money...Austin too. You can claim it was the same thing but their promos got turned into t shirts.I disagree.
Some of the "all-time great" promo men got to that level by basically rehashing the same shyt week in and week out. Rock, Austin, Jake Roberts, Ric Flair ... the details varied a bit but the talking points generally remained the same outside of a few occasions. You gotta know what your guys do well and what they don't do well before you push them.
That said, Cena absolutely mollywhopped Roman Reigns and frankly, the best course of action for Roman would have been to lay Cena out just to show that words don't mean a damn thing if you're not going to whoop the nikka's ass at the end of the day. Similar to Batista's lead-in to WM 26 where he was like, "All you do is talk, Cena. Bark-bark-bark, that's what you do. That's NOT what I do."

I only like the use of insider terms on Wrestling when it's tongue in cheek. Like when HBK ripped off that guy's shoe and hit HHH with it, and Lawler was like, "A heel for a heel?!" Or of course, the other time Cena mentioned the heel turn
Then again, in the last 10 years the face/heel terms have transcended wrestling and are now part of the regular internet lexicon. I see people who never watched wrestling past the Attitude era use it now.
To have Roman try to go head to head in promos with Cena was the first mistake.
To have the skinhead brothers interrupt the segment was the second.
To have them in a tag team match on the same side was the third.
And to have the match end clean with no fukkery was the fourth.
Roman should've gone off script before signing the contract. I was joking about it in the live thread but he should've straight up threatened to kill him.
"I don't neeed to know how to promo to beat you within an inch of your life/I let my fists do the talking/I made the mistake of not finishing the job last time (trying to kill Braun), I won't make the same mistake twice/I'm gonna make Nikki a widow before she has the chance to even get married"....Something of that variant.
He can't go against Cena on the mic, but he can definitely outshine him in the ring. And he has a raw, sinister aggressiveness that Cena will never have.
But this company is so dumb, so SO dumb they still wanna keep that man a face-leaning "tweener"
Hoping the WWE plays to Romans strengths in building his character has never worked before so it ain't gonna happen now.

The thing is, the point of promos is to make you want to see the match...not completely bury the opponent and make him look silly. There's a give and take. Chris Jericho mentioned in his first book how in one of the first promos he ever cut, he just went IN on this guy. Just completely shytting on him.
