When he gets out the water, notices they're gone, he checks his phone and there's a text from her saying that she went to the room to get her hat. The notification says it was sent 15 minutes ago.

She then tells him after taking shots he said "let's go upstairs" She says they went upstairs, she let him in the room he latched the door, kissed her for like two seconds. Said that was all that happened, that Ethan came up right away and Cam went through the connecting door.

Even if he was sprinting to the room, that timeline wouldn't make sense.

Her waiting until then to tell him about Cam feeling on her leg the night before, her lying about going to get the hat and like @GoldenGlove said, the fact that she tried to deflect to him not wanting to fukk her, makes it even more likely that she's lying.

I guess I’m one of the few who believed Harper didn’t actually fukk Cameron. Thought she was playing mind games on some get-back ish and would have probably fukked had Ethan not rushed up to the room, especially after those shots of tequila.

Either way, play stupid games…win stupid prizes. Their sex life is awakened again, but the dynamic between the two is forever fukked just like Cam/Daphne’s.

A lot of seemed to be portraying, rather terrifyingly, the dread, paranoia, and insecurity or sexual/romantic relationships, and the gaslighting, lying, revenge, manipulation behind the facade of people's happy romantic couple image. Ethan spiraled RAPIDLY.
