I'm thinking the young British dude is a sex worker hired by the old, gay rich guys to distract Portia while they run whatever game they are running on Tanya. Accents between them don't match up. Possibly Tanya's husband devised a plan to try and get her to do something that would void the prenup and that's why he was so mad Portia was there.......now they had to hire a sex worker to distract her.

thats a really good theory, its clear to me that group is plotting some scheme on Tanya and that British dude just showed up outta nowhere in the pool when she sat down at night, the timing was weird and to just intro his character 5 episodes in or whatever

I also thought it was totally out of character for Aubrey Plaza's character to not address that situation head on - but then again, finding out your significant other is cheating probably could make people react funny

this season has been weird to me, I dont particularly love it, and the characters dont make rational decisions that are based in reality to me. Like I understand why his dad didnt want to stop his son from fukking with the prositute, but at some point you cant just let your fukking son walk into that trap. Also the whole scene with the other escort and the piano player just felt messy and sloppy and not well acted, I dunno

this feels like a show we are told should be prestige TV -- and the cinematography and score (Cristobal Tapia de Veer is a legend to me for his work on Utopia) help make it appear that way, but the show ultimately feels super hollow to me

Agree about the whole piano player scene, that was like D list comedy with Jack Black from early 2000's inspired.

I was kind of not paying close attention during the Tanya parts, but conspiracy seems like overreach? Maybe I should watch again.

I’ve been getting heavy feelings of them scheming on her, I have a hard time thinking they put that much effort into being noticed by her enough to chat without being after her wealth. Her money and general aloofness feel like a theme thru two seasons. His crew of side characters seem like some over exaggerated drugged out caricatures, whenever they zoom in on them they looked zoote off some drugs, I been telling my wife that group just gives off odd vibes. And him trying to get her to hit that island where the widow was murdered for her land? That’s a strong parallel with Tanya sitting on a pile of money like a target. And then selling her to take the boat to his island spot or whatever. I dunno, I get scheming vibes

also I thought that British dude was a former One Direction member with how bad his acting was in that first scene he talked :skip: he got better by the end I guess, but I was swearing he was some musican thrown a TV role just because. He was like half smirking struggling to get out his lines at first lol

If y'all recall from the first episode when Tanya was fukking Greg and she was hallucinating seeing the Testa di Moro vases, and said “I must have been dissociating. I was seeing all these faces of men, with these very effeminate hairstyles. And then I saw you, and your eyes were like shark eyes - like completely dead."

The Testa di Moro vases will be a reference to Greg having another partner (which we already knew), where he and the rest of those gay grifters are targeting Tanya. I'd imagine that's the storyline that revolves around the bodies washing up on the beach.

No Whammies!!
like father like father like son:russ:

I agree that this was my favorite line of the episode.
What was the "i want to be inside you" part about?

Was that played for latent bro dude laughs or was that meant to be latent bro dude real?

Also...any chance that he left the condom wrapper there ON PURPOSE?
Is he trying to break up the marriage so that he improves his chances of scamming investment money from them?
I have a feeling that the 'frat boy' guy is not doing as well at his investment career as he lets on.

This British dude got me :dead: an incel's worst nightmare :mjlit:

Peep how ol' girl "felt bad" but still gave up the goods... squares stay losing outchea...Lol

but at least he ran into Lucia. if he ain't have to pay that's a W.

Lucia probably my favorite character right now. She's gorgeous :noah: and playing the hell outta her role..

Yep, she made it clear what kinda guy she was looking for. Any seasoned man would have known what time it was with Portia. And acted accordingly.

:mjlit:

A little distraction and fun from her boring life. Albie wanting to have deep conversations with her was not getting that kitty wet. It's those women who are 'confused' about how they feel about a man before they push them to friendzone

Essex guy came right out with his intentions, eased her in with humour and aggressiveness that felt natural not like albies fake posturing.

I can't tell, I think we're not supposed to know for sure. Cam seems like a sociopath who would rape another man for the power trip so I can't tell.
