Ms. Russell and her entire case has been providing excellent teaching material for my children. Last week, they scared the hell out of me in a public place and, after we got home, had to watch numerous videos of children getting abducted from random places by random people. Had to drive home to them how kids can get got even when they are where they are supposed to be and doing what they're supposed to be doing.

A few days later, this story comes out, and we're back to having family discussions about situational awareness, abduction and poor decision-making. Between her and the sister in Dubai, my children are getting tired of hearing my mouth about it. Idgaf though.

I was happy when this young lady came home because I thought she'd actually been taken.

Now that it's coming out this was likely a hoax, my kids are going to be pissed at me again because we're going to watch this press conference together and discuss why our actions always have consequences for other people. I want to see if they realize how someone crying wolf can fukk it up for someone else who is telling the truth later on.

I agree if they had of claimed that as soon as she returned it may have pressured the police enough to not charge her because tensions would have been too high and it would cause a public relations nightmare. They fukked up bad because they don’t control the narrative now and lots of people have turned on her and want blood.She actually may be charged and see a little jail time now if it all turns out to be a lie.
