If wonder woman had flopped none of the above conversations would be brought up. All anyone would say is she's iconic and every body knows her and she should have made x amount of dollars.
Following the release of Avengers: Infinity War, fans have been looking for whatever kind of information they can get regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We don’t really know much about Avengers 4, other than it could change almost everything. People sometimes forget that before Avengers 4, we have another very important movie coming out in Captain Marvel.
We were recently given some information about that movie from a trustworthy source, and while it’s not much in terms of plot details, it’s definitely interesting to know that the movie is going to be something very unique:
Though Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War were all different and original movies, nothing is going to be as different and original as Captain Marvel. The upcoming movie from Anna Bolden and Ryan Fleck is going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe and give us something no one has seen before – and something that no fan is expecting.
Wonder Woman was obviously considered a very important movie for women, but Captain Marvel is going to blow it away. It will completely redefine superhero movies – similar to how Marvel Studios changed everything back in 2008. If you thought Infinity War was a game-changer, you’re not ready for what’s coming in Captain Marvel.
It’s pretty intriguing to hear and keeps with the MCU’s trend of keeping fans guessing. Infinity War was definitely a game-changer, especially when you factor in the ending. The post-credits scene obviously featured a nod to Captain Marvel, so Avengers 4 will probably feature a decent amount of screen-time for Brie Larson‘s character as well.
As with everything Marvel related, we’ll just have to wait and see when Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 6th, 2019.
The four-time Oscar nominee is appearing in her first superhero movie.
Annette Bening is signing on for her first comic book movie.
The four-time Oscar nominee is joining Brie Larson in Captain Marvel, Marvel Studios’ first female-led feature film.
Mississippi Grind directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are helming the movie, which is currently in production in and around Los Angeles. (The project also will shoot in Louisiana.)
Larson toplines the pic as Carol Danvers, an Air Force pilot whose DNA fuses with that of an alien, sending her headlong into an intergalactic adventure. The character had a major tease in Avengers: Infinity War, although the solo movie is set in the 1990s.
The cast already includes Jude Law, Ben Mendelsohn and Gemma Chan, as well as Djimon Hounsou and Lee Pace, with the latter pair reprising their characters from 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy.
Details on Bening’s character are being kept hidden deep in the Kree Empire, but "scientist" is said to be in her job description.
Bening eschews most studio movies, let alone those with caped crusaders and masked marvels. She most recently starred in the period drama Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool and toplines The Seagull, an adaptation of the Anton Chekhov play that also counts Saoirse Ronan and Elisabeth Moss in its cast, which is set to bow Friday.
I was saying this about gal gadot for years. If gal can be wonder woman with string bean arms they can just cgi some mass on brie. They really should have made her buff up/put weigh on
Ms. Marvel Is Coming to the MCU, Feige Assures
In a new interview with BBC, presumingly for Avengers: Infinity War, Kevin Feige was asked about the potential for the Muslim superhero, Ms. Marvel, to appear in the MCU. And while he couldn’t offer up any details as to when and how she’d appear, he did confirm that Ms. Marvel’s live-action debut is “in the works.”
In the interview, which you can see below, Feige explains that the studio is currently working on Captain Marvel, which is currently filming in California and that plans to introduce Kamala are underway — after Carol’s debut. “Captain Marvel‘s shooting right now with Brie Larson,” he said. “Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books, the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel.”
They really should have made her buff up/put weigh on
Yes...... when you think about it..... I don’t know why people are concerned with the
“But no one cares for CM and no one knows her”
When just from last year to 10 years ago no one knew or cared for these young women
I’m watching ConAir on SyFy right now and they just showed a yogurt commercial promoting IW and some kids were wearing Gamora, IM, Star Lord, and Black Panther costumes
So it’s crazy how some people still try to pretend these characters that exploded over the last 10 years. That are more relevant than ever are less popular than characters that have been dormant for decades
