Fair enough. But if it's who give's a fucck then it never should of been reported. But I did not know who or how to appeal and that's whatever. But I was going to speak on it just to know that being an admin doesn't mean to abuse you moderator power just because you dislike what someone posted. I do not think OTHER members would appreciate that either.

the thing is i feel like flashbacks is essentially just telling you what happened. I want to figure it out myself by getting to know the character.
Not just straight tell us her background via flashback. If you want them to show and not tell then flashbacks should be last thing you want to see.

But some flashbacks also build other characters, I agree that we could've learned probably the same about Carol - but the flashbacks helped develop Mar-Vell and Rambeau as well.
Little shyt like them giving each other the thumbs up and shyt. I got more that or from 1 second of her dad towering over her and yelling at her than any dialogue could've given me.

I'll have to see the movie again to see if ALL the flashbacks were necessary, but I definitely fukked with most of them.

i just feel like flashbacks in general are cheap storytelling. A sign that the writer didn't develop the plot or characters properly, so they have to cut to commercial break to explain some things real quick so other things will make sense. Like I said go watch the Bourne identity to see how a character with memory loss is handled properly. I think people are used to it because it's so heavily used as a crutch in Hollywood. same way character voice over narrations we're way over used in the 80's and 90's. pause the screen "you probably wondering how i wound up in this predictment well it's a long story but....." type of stuff. I'm not saying it should never be used, but it is way overused nowadays.

I have to agree. But I also had a problem with her out of character, character arch in the movie in general.

This movie was solidly meh. If you don't wanna go through 200 pages and are curious if you need this movie to follow the story. You don't. You're good. Wait for the final avengers movie.

This felt like the very first Thor or Captain America movie to me.

Which is the problem. It felt like a old school superhero origin movie and not a good one.

I will say I LOVED her suit and her helmet tho.

You know what you nailed my issue with the movie . It’s fine but not up to the recent marvel films even the intro films such as antman and dr strange we’re better .

I actually think the flashbacks in CM were necessary because she doesn't remember her past - so when the Skrulls root into her mind or she gets flashes we learn alongside of her. They also wouldn't have been able to build up her relationship with MarVell or Simone as well through pictures. And some shyt like her falling/crashing etc was done to build up the final flashbacks of her getting back on her feet.

I thought they fit perfectly in this case, even though I agree with you in general - CM was an exception for me.

For Starlord that visual of his fam thinking his mother was crazy, including him, and her reaching out to him were powerful as fukk - especially because the movie ends with him and the Guardians reaching out to each other and we get a callback to the opening scene.

Seriously. I'm tired of seeing his fukking face over my youtube feed just cuz I was looking for Captain Marvel reviews. Checked a couple of his vids, briefly and he seems like on one of those goofy ass posters that would be on here that I would not really care for. I've not gathered whether or not he really believes and feels everything that he says or if he's just saying shyt for hits, but either which way, from what I've heard so far, I don't wanna even dig deeper to find out.

I have had to click on the three buttons for so many channels and say that I'm not interested in that channel. It just happened with Captain Marvel, and it also happened with Alita: Battle Angel. A few twice. At least Geeks and Gamers has stayed out of my feed.
