Carol got cats all around the world in their feels.

It’s solid. There’s a lot of tell rather than show when it comes to who carol is and what she’s about. But there glimpses of what makes her tick and why she’s special. The stuff in the beginning was kinda meh and was actually dark as hell. Like hard to make stuff out dark.

But once she gets to earth the movie picks up. She won me over as carol and the stuff with her and fury and Maria was really dope. And I liked the ending as well. I’m down to see more of her story and see her grow as a character.

She was OP as fukk from start to finish, I guess it had to be this way for her to win against Thanos. At least that's what we think since it came out she was the strongest in the Universe.

Caught it yesterday evening. It was aight.

There didn't really feel like there were many stakes attached to it but to get to where they need to go in the story next month, I guess this was the way they had to do it.

I get the arguments that say there wasn't a ton of character development too. So many of the Marvel flicks have characters cameo before their solo flick/ big moment, that this almost felt like a standing start.


I came to the understanding a while back that the flick will mean more to some people than it does to me. I'm curious as to what parts of it would have spoken to a female audience the same way 'Black Panther' spoke to me as a Black viewer, though

I honestly hope thats the swerve for endgame. Like “oh who did fury beep in his dying moment that can do what we couldnt” then she pops up and has her hulk moment of cockiness to get slapped around by thanos and we finally get that avengers reunited moment of epic team work to win

You can go through character growth regardless of your powers tho. Who you are as a person normally has nothing to do with your powers.

Are you a hot head who needs to learn to chill the fukk out? Are you suicidal like Riggs? Are you an arrogant jerk who needs humility? Those things transcend powers. Her arc was learning to control her powers and finally standing up for herself after being told she’s too emotional; she learned her emotions aren’t a burden but a strength.

And yeah they should’ve went deep cuts on the soundtrack. Just needle dropping the big singles from the era won’t do it. BUT I will never be mad at.a Come As You Are appearance
