It was good.. not excellent.... I saw it in IMAX and didn’t see anything noteworthy in IMAX. It’s a good snack to hold you over until Endgame and seeing Fury before he became extra paranoid was entertaining.

I’m still confused as to what’s canon in regards to how Shield ended up in the possession of the you know what though.. I guess we’re dismissing HS finding it unless he found it and wound up in the hands of that Kree on Earth

That the main thing that took me out of it. At the very least it could of attempted to make the connection. But they left it as a SIGNIFICANTLY HUGE plot hole!

I see why the reviews were hard on it though. If this was released during Phase 1, the reviews would've been much better. But as a Phase 3 movie, the MCU is 20 movies in and classics has been made. The bar is lifted and expected to be met and this movie didn't meet it. it was mid. Especially for someone thats supposed to lead the universe after the next movie. I don't think anything memorable really happened in this movie

Feige might switch some shyt up.

This is much later in the timeline. Shield got possession of the wink wink much earlier. Not surprising that it would be used in research in the 90s.

EDIT:
I think you're referring to mar vells ship? Yeah, that is a big black hole for the MCU

I see what your saying. This is one of the big problems I have with this. They were really haphazard with all the MCU stuff.

Yup. That is a big issue. But if this one makes a ton of money it won't matter (reviews).

It's not a plot hole.
You don't even know if Howard Stark gave it directly to SHIELD. All we saw was that he acquired it, and secretly, and we knew he was working with SHIELD. In all of the MCU continuity, it hasn't been mentioned until Avengers. We know that Mar Vell and Talos both were embedded in SHIELD and secret gov't projects, and were working with the Tesseract. They didn't give anything about Mar Vell that goes against what was already established. If anything, this sets up HOW Fury had it in possession, what he was using it for, why, AND how Loki knew where it was.

Between the 1940's to the 1990's.... PLEASE EXPLAIN how in this in film they acquired it, why they sought for it and how'd they knew where it was located? Don't SPECULATE. EXPLAIN from what exactly the film said.

If you can. If you going to base it off assumption, it is a PLOT HOLE.. and a true plot hole because it is essentially the MAIN PLOT.

Speculation.... thus a PLOT HOLE.

For years:lolbron:

A couple of your contemporaries used to always criticize Marvel for ...... how did they put it? :usure:

Oh yea, “feeding they fans that spoonfed drizzle” and making it too easy for the audience and etc.

Well message recieved:mjgrin:

No plot holes, the answer is in there, guess you just have to see it again and over and over until you find it :skip:

:salute:

Something you said is really intriguing.

“The bar is raised”

And I get that and to would alway want each new movie if possible to reach and exceed the bar.

But here’s a question, when or if something doesn’t and it falls somewhere in the area of things we clearly enjoyed or already propped up, does those have to mean it’s bad and sucks?

Simplified, if one falls short of overcoming Jordan as the GOAT but ends up being Iverson or McGrady, does that mean they’re trash?

But you care about making some do nothing cacs mad? I've been said that my main issue is them making a boring unpopular character the new face of the MCU, but I ain't teaming up with a bunch of beckys who are no better than their male counterparts. As for Scarlet Witch she wouldn't have gotten this much backlash because at least she's established.
Where did I celebrate making cacs mad?
My point is it’s 20 fukking movies so what this one movie got some butthurt cacs
Also how do we know she is the de facto face? Just cause they hyped her up? Iron man wasn’t nothing but a b level star himself growing up and he ended up one of the biggest stars
