Not a plot hole. And if one, not significant.

It is a very SIGNIFICANT plot hole. It not only disregards or unexplains everything in regards of phase 1 right up to the Avengers, but it is the key PLOT to how and why Carol Danvers got her powers which that in itself isn't fully understood aside of just accepting it. There's nothing explaining it as to how, when or why they have it. It is a plot hole that changes the whole continuity of the MCU.

You don't even know if Howard Stark gave it directly to SHIELD. All we saw was that he acquired it, and secretly, and we knew he was working with SHIELD. In all of the MCU continuity, it hasn't been mentioned until Avengers. We know that Mar Vell and Talos both were embedded in SHIELD and secret gov't projects, and were working with the Tesseract. They didn't give anything about Mar Vell that goes against what was already established. If anything, this sets up HOW Fury had it in possession, what he was using it for, why, AND how Loki knew where it was.

That is SPECULATION. There was nothing in THIS FILM or any PREVIOUS FILM that addresses the time between Howard Stark in the 1950's to the time period of 1989-1995 which this film time was established. Nor does it explains when the Skulls came in the picture in not just knowing who had it, or how they knew, or why they sought after it, or why they hid it. their reasons of why they sought after it and hid it were FLEMSY excuses at best. It is a very much a PLOT HOLE. It is a significant plot in the film, but its reason why someone have it or how was not EXPLAIN per plot of this film. All you all doing is speculating and assuming.

Where did I celebrate making cacs mad?
My point is it’s 20 fukking movies so what this one movie got some butthurt cacs
Also how do we know she is the de facto face? Just cause they hyped her up? Iron man wasn’t nothing but a b level star himself growing up and he ended up one of the biggest stars
Kevin Feige himself said that Captain Marvel is the new leader of the MCU going forward.

About those continuity issues:
They are minor. The Tesseract being in this movie doesn't create a plot hole in Captain America The First Avenger or The Avengers. At the end of Captain America: TFA, Howard Stark recovers the Tesseract at the bottom of the ocean. In Captain Marvel, Fury is let into Project Pegasus, "If that's the wrong name, well I'm horrible with name," with a thumb scan. They also have a Quadjet, which it's probably safe to assume is the model before the Quinjet. So it's all S.H.I.E.L.D. related. Howard gets the Tesseract in the 40's. S.H.I.E.L.D. is established, where he's not only a member, but Stark Industries also develops weapons and tech for the government. He probably knew Jennings (Mar-Vell), and she could have even worked for him for years. It's entirely possible that Jennings got the Tesseract from Howard. Plus, they would have known that it could power weapons from whatever Armin Zola told them of the Red Skull's research.

Everything can be explained and it doesn't all need to be explained in the movie because now this is stuff that they can have on Disney+. It also doesn't break continuity because the last time we saw
the Tesseract
before The Avengers, was And

But if nothing ever addresses the period between the 1940s - 1990s it's just unknown. We don't know how the tessaract went from Howard Stark to Dr. Lawson. That's not a plot hole. It's just unknown narrative info.

it was solid. Put it on the same level as the first thor. All the scenes with her and sam L were great. Everything else was :manny: but the action scenes were nice. Her binary shyt is super saiyan piff.
so with the "twist" they have it to where the kree are the bad guys and the skrulls are just tryna live they life? or am i trippin
but now onto endgame
At theater now... shyt is empty..

This movie is about to do Ant Man numbers
go to the theater at 10 in the morning and expect it to be packed brehs :mjlol:
