Let's just chill until we get some confirmation, brehs. People in here talking mad reckless, just because there's a bunch of Africans in a picture doesn't automatically mean it's Wakanda. There are more places with Africans, you know.
Its not supposed to be Wakanda its a stand in for Lagos.
Thank you.
And if I remember correctly the exact wording on Black Panther and Wakanda was:
"He has a lot of the same characteristics of a Captain America: great character, good values... But it's a little more difficult, maybe, creating [a world like Wakanda]. It's always easier basing it here. For instance, 'Iron Man 3' is rooted right here in Los Angeles and New York. When you bring in other worlds, you're always faced with those difficulties."
Okay, I'm sure that's the exact wording because there's such a thing as Google so we don't have to twist words on what was really said. Regarding to those comments, he never says it's more difficult to do Asgard, or (at this point) Knowhere or Xandar, just that creating a fictional world is always more difficult than using a real place. Which is true.
Now he said it extremely clumsy but even during the time D'Esposito said this, Feige always maintained that Black Panther is an important character in the Marvel Universe and a movie would only be a matter of time. Which has also been proven true, and you can complain about Guardians Of The Galaxy or Ant-Man getting made before Black Panther, but the facts are that GotG was a priority project for Disney for all the merchandise possibilities, as well as for Marvel to introduce the broader Marvel cosmos in preparation for Infinity War, while Ant-Man simply got ahead because it was already in production for years.
And if you still feel Marvel is p*ssying out too much on Black Panther after all this, maybe you should re-read your own posts in this thread and realize that if it takes so little for you to crucify Marvel over the slightest hint they might do it wrong, Marvel seems to be absolutely right in approaching this project with as much caution as is necessary.
All of which really boils down to, please remain calm and wait until we have more facts.
