be that as it may, i just don't understand the need to be up in arms because it won't be like it was in the comics.

obviously this isn't the comics and it's gonna have to be adapted and changed. it's not a big deal. it could still be awesome. and if the creative minds behind cap 2 are on board again i'm sure it will be.

I think the feeling most cats here have is that there aren't enough important toys in the toy chest to make the story really potent. I'm not saying I agree but I get the notion. And not having Reed and Peter involved, two very key pieces, also makes it a tougher story to tell so we'll see how it works out

Where the hell are yall getting this shyt from? From the moment it was revealed both movies would launch on the same day Marvel held their ground and said they wasn't budging. DC is the ones who finally moved their release date. That alone shows that Marvel is standing behind their movie.

Now obviously the whole Cap/Ironman thing just came up. But if this is the start of the civil war arc then pieces of this has been hinted throughout the MCU. This isn't just something that popped out the blue.

:rudy:Yeah, yeah. That's all well & good but ol boy Feige neva gettin my respect. He ain't wanna put King Panther in the starting line up because he felt his world was "Difficult to put on screen" or some other as$-pull of nonsense he spat out while at one Comic-Con a couple years back. So even with all those other "Pieces" being put together I still don't get my Lead Black solo hero or any other significant diversity for that matter. The House Of Mouse are masters of makin everybody not-white less compelling than anyone else in these films. Hell, Warmachine still ain't had two full pages of dialogue yet & that character had TWO different shades of Black MuhPhuckaz PLAY HIM IN A SPAN OF 3 F##kiN MOVIES ALREADY!! :stopitslime:

... So as far as I'm concerned Feige, Mickey Mouse, Tony Stark & Stars N'Stripes Murica-Man can ALL lick Shaft!! Ol "Lemme do some regular, by the numbers, White Savior sh#t EVERY TIME instead of REALLY Trail blaze & give kids across the globe WHO ALL CONTRIBUTED TO MAKIN THESE FRANCHISES BILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENTS heroes they can all truly relate to" as$ fools. :wtb:

Damn, already a mile on this RACE TRACK? My foot-game goin up, on a Tuesday! ... Well, Wednesday!!:obama:

What a coincidence.

The Judge flops, and now all of a sudden RDJ is willing to do more Marvel films.

I'm glad cuz these movies will be awesome. But im also glad this nikka now realizes he's not bigger than Tony Stark

RDJ got that Vin Diesel wake up call :mjlol:

It’s complex. There are a lot of characters. Marvel doesn’t have ownership of some of the key players in that. [...] I don’t run Marvel so I can’t say that it won’t happen, but I would say that it is highly unlikely.

I still think the rumor shield breaking leads cap going to Wakanda and by default cap 3 becomes the movie that introduces Black Panther. Then in the end have Stark and Cap get into it that will lead to Civil War.

Just like any other story, the shyt is not going to be a direct depiction of the comic. Winter Soldier wasnt a direct depiction of the Winter Soldier series Brubaker wrote. Just had some elements. Same with this shyt... gonna prolly just use the overall themes but I doubt they try to shoehorn a 1000 new costumed dweebs on the silver screen.

What people need to understand is RDJ has never been a DRAW like Tom Criuse, Will Smith or Tom Hanks. Those guys could of taken a movie like "The Judge" and still made it a hit. RDJ is a good actor yes but his box office has mostly been cause of Iron Man and Iron Man period. Sure there's Sherlock but that came during the whole "Iron Man" phase. Also a lot of people have conviently forgot all his drug issues which made him Box office poison for many years. But yes him being in Cap 3 in a larger role was clearly cause those Judge numbers ain't come through good.

LOL, and these dudes trying to cop pleas, "OH Ferige had it the plans all along". So that's why the Director JUST SAID the "Civil War" storyline wasn't going to happen? LOL. They saw Batman V Superman on the board and they knew Cap 3 wasn't going to beat it at the Box Office. So what better way then to bring the most popular character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the movie to compete. It's business guys.

It was more closer to 3 Days of the Condor than that which is one of the reasons why it was so dope

why does the conflict have to center around a superhero registration act? why can't they make it about something else?

cap and iron man are gonna be on different sides, that's all that matters,
I am not expecting this to be a movie version of the Civil War comic just like Age of Ultron has nothing to do with the shytty mini-series of the same name.
It will just be a movie where Cap and Iron Man are temporarily on opposite sides for some reason.

That makes zero sense.

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely started working on "Cap 3" late last year. 7 months ago they were saying they had started working on the story outline.

If you seriously think Marvel randomly decided to shoe horn Tony Stark into a movie that was being written for the last 7+ months :mjlol:
Batman vs Superman was announced in the summer of 2013 though.
Not saying dude is right about Marvel's motivations but whether they started writing the script with Cap vs Iron Man yesterday or 7 months ago it all started after the BvS announcement.

Not necessarily. This is a studio (Marvel) that set the ground work for "The Avengers" 4 years before the movie came out, before they even knew if any of the movies leading up to it would be successful. They set up Thanos to be the villain of a movie that ain't coming out until 7 years after his initial appearance.

So the idea that they had "Civil War" planned well in advance of 2013 isn't that far fetched.

The release date and timing of these announcements is obviously about "Batman V Superman", though.

Fred.
