you have to compare films with their contemporaries as well, as average box office went up across the board for the MCU.

for early MCU (non avenger) films 6-700 million was a hit.

latter phase 2 - phase 3 "solo" hits were hitting the 900 to a billy mark.

now due to recent volatility (covid) it's harder to say what films should achieve, but if non-avenger hits (DP3, SM3) of hero + support characters can hit way over a billy then Cap4 is way behind that.

Cap4 could probably be best compared to non-hits but good financially Dr. Strange 2 / Thor 4 they have an established character, a good budget, famous actors (giancarlo, ford, crowe, bale, thompson, stewart, ijorfor, quiet place guy), support characters (falcon 2, red hulk, zeus, herc, scarlett witch, prof-x, cap carter, reed richards etc).

So all things being equal Cap4 should should hit between 750 million of thor 4 to 950 million of dr. strange 2 total??

This movie was mid. All that build up to Red Hulk just for a 5 min beat down and a “MARTHA” moment.

Y'all give Anthony Mackie way too much crap

Mediocre white actors get big motion picture after big motion picture and chance after chance all the time (Taylor Kitsch for example. Although he rebounded) and he gets his own tentpole movie that opens up and makes over $100 million and stays steady in pretty decent work and y'all shyt on dude. Look at Zachary Levi mediocre ass getting flop after flop and still getting flicks

We need to support dude. Saying the movie was not the greatest is one thing but taking shots at him is another. If we talk this bad about one another now y'all see why they stay shytting on us.

He does good work, doesn't say bad words about anybody, and is a pro. Fukk y'all nikkas

Alright. I had fun watching this movie.


Not Endgame or Winter Soldiers level but I enjoyed it about as much as I did the GoTG series.


Also really liked the ending scene where he’s talking to little homie about the crippling fear of imposter syndrome/not living up to expectations.
