Idris would've drawn 10x better for this movie.
Once Tyler's fans realize he won't be in drag and will have to show range, intensity, and there's gonna be no sermons, they'll throw this shyt right in the bushes.
Not to mention it's directed by the guy whose biggest hit was the original Fast and the Furious...
Yeah, this looked terrible, though the Patterson books got progressively worse after a certain point, the first dozen or so were very well done thrillers, they started getting a BIT far fetched with the FBI agent storylines, but they were tightly wound, taut novels, with compelling characters, and good villains. The first two adaptations were good, 'Kiss The Girls' being a little darker, and less action movie, this looked like a total hack job, the killer is like 'Hitman' and shyt, the action looked very budget restricted, and action was only a slight part of the Patterson novels, and the previous movies. Total Hollywood bullshyt, try to cash in on a franchise.

yea, thats what i noticed when i looked up the film a while back. basically starring a white dude and an asian girl iirc, military types whom i guess operate the gundam-type robots... with Idris basically being their nick fury/commander officer.
i just hope it wouldn't be another 'battleship' type disaster

I tripped out for a minute when I found out James Patterson was white.
Along Came A Spider has to have one of the best villains I've ever read. When he loses his shyt in the McDonalds I was going nuts. Patterson really got into the mind of that psycho. I was disappointed with the books as they progressed cause they started just being straight up stories with no flesh. Started reminding me of Clive Cussler or Dean Koontz. I gave up at Violets are Blue, are there any other books after that are as good or close as the first two? The movie for Along Came A Spider in comparison to the book sucked balls

I saw that same clip, awful. 'Kiss The Girls', 'Roses Are Red', 'Pop the Weasel', 'Violets Are Blue', I read all of them up to, and including 'Mary Mary', that one was pretty weak, like you noticed, there was just kind of a story frame work, and it didn't involve you like the rest. I think Patterson just wanted to cash in, because he has a new book out like every 6 months, and to be honest, the earlier ones are good, but the writing/plots are kind of elementary, but they were well done, just like literary junk food. The shyt with the FBI agent/The Mastermind just got so ridiculous, and everyone escaping and teaming up like some super hero shyt....Alex Cross was reduced to a caricature. And at some point, just let the man and his family live, it's not even believable for them to have been through so much murder and torment.
