Well he gets benched for getting beat on crossing routes. Hunter (deions “son”) and Stoutmire (deions former teamate son) got beat on crossing routes, slants, deep routes, go’s, pretty much everything and stay in. Stoutmire even had some smoke for Deion after giving up a touchdown. So maybe there is something there
:hubie:

And yes I agree with you, running to twitter is wack

And what about the 2nd OT? Throw a pick and Stanford wins with an easy FG--because they knew exactly what they needed to win.

The point is, everybody knows you go on defense first in college OT.

Everybody except you and Deion apparently.
1. There would be no second overtime if the defense did there job in the first overtime correct? something that everyone seems to understand besides fake ass coli football analysis

2. If they got the ball second they could still throw a damn pick like you just articulated because clearly the defense couldn’t stop anyone anyways :mjlol:

I'm gonna break the mold here and say that Travis Hunter doesn't look elite in either side of the ball.

Boy is maaddd small, and you can see that in every game he's played. Son repeatedly gets jammed up on blocks by wide receivers and downright taken out of plays at times.

I'll excuse his play at corner today
I was telling @Silkk this. Like dude has done nothing to be talked about as a top CB in college. You can be the #1 player out of HS but that don't mean shyt until it translates to college and you start shutting shyt down.

If we being real, Travis look like he'd fit right in with the USC defense :mjcry:
In some ways not just going to Georgia or Bama (maybe FSU) has done him a disservice. He physically looks like a true freshman who just reported to camp. Jackson and CU hasnt got him physically ready yet.

Lowkey, it kinda makes you wonder if he lucked out not having to play against Oregon (possibly USC), and definitely Washington. Those guys might have put him in the weightroom on the field.

@Silkk DJ playing his music was a bad omen for this game :hhh:

The CU coaches were talking to these guys with a sense of urgency at half time. If you’ve ever played football coming up, it’s likely you’ve been on both sides of this If you’ve played for a mediocre team.

I see a lot of assumptions on this forum. My biggest criticism of this forum is that people act like that they are there and know these guys personally.

I don’t do assumptions, I go by facts. One thing we can say is that Colorado is a mediocre team, and mediocre teams are susceptible to the type of shyt that happened Friday. They can not play four quarters of quality football. They’re only good for a half.

He got smoked in all routes when they started him against ASU.

There are always going to be players that will get special favor. But they are ballers.

Cormani thinks he doesn't have to study film and think he's athletic ability is going to trump everything. Idiot doesn't know that it doesn't work that way in college

I’m rooting for Deion. I really am.
I’m torn on what type of job I think he can do. I’m all for the social media shyt, the flash, the extra care for the players that paved the way for him (no matter what, and he can’t say it publicly, but Travis Hunter commiting to Jackson State over FSU took his spotlight over the top, and his sons sticking to play for him at an HBCU instead of D1 made his story into a National one - but this def wouldn’t have been as big w/o Hunter)

But they are not Deion. If you say the kid is the second coming of Prime but better, ppl want to see that. You can fool the celebs and influencers and old folk that are just supporting Deion, but you can’t fool people that actually watch the game and say - these kids ain’t better than or in the same class as some dudes this year, much less all timers.

Again, if you consume CSU football content all day, you think these dudes are all time greats…

But one step into the real world, does Hunter jump off the map like or would he have been the top guy over these dudes at other programs?

Nope, go to Bama, UGA, LSU or OSU and beat out some 5 star dogs and then you can stake your claim but yeah Hunter can't just be named the best because Prime hypes him up. I have seen a few flashes but he still just like :manny: too me. Reminds me of a typical WR or DB on any top 25 team, not a super star.

He could, but I can see the favoritism Deion shows is starting to break up the locker room
Something people my age or older, or players like Irvin or Shady etc probably cant grasp is that every kid does not look up to Deion the way we do or did. They weren't even aware of ever watching him play of watching him dominate or seeing his style etc. Sure, some may admire it, watch him on Youtube, think hes a cool old guy who commands respect from the Ochos and the TOs and the OBJs, but he isnt some God, and young people have a way of humbling you and old folks have a way of overly meat riding and expecting young people to do the same.

I have a real world example. (of course the "I makeup stories" crowd is going to jump on this one LOL)

A few years ago, my homeboy asked me to pull up on his school and talk to/give some encouragement to a young baller, who was in maybe the 8th or 9th grade at that point, who had gotten into it with Deion who was coaching at a football camp (Under Armour maybe? Cant recall)

He was an elite player, actually ended up becoming the #1 WR of his class a few years later, and hes currently in the NFL, but back then he was just a kid.

And my boy called me because me and the kid were from the same neighborhood, of course I am much much older, but still being from there, it's just a different level of respect you get when you're really from a tough area a kid is from if you're solid.

Anyway, the issue came because Deion had said something to the kid to the sense of "if you hold your hands like that at the line I would've F you up/punched you in the mouth" something crazy I can't recall, but this kid wasn't the type of person that you're going to tell you would hit him in the mouth, especially off the cuff, and he said to show him respect, Deion carried him in front of the camp, and he said words back. Of course all the older coaches and older dudes got on the kid, sucked up to Prime etc and the kid was mad AF and wasn't speaking to no one about it.

Now your first inclination is "oh dumb gen Z kid cant take a little sass from NFL legend" but it was more, this dude is disrespecting me, don't know where I come from and who I am, and all these other coaches and older guys are openly meat riding and acting like this dude is God and he talking down to everyone (kids perspective of course)

Thin line, because the kid wasn't right but he wasn't wrong. So our talk was about "not being able to win all battles" - on how these dudes look at Prime so he will never and could never win that battle, but he doesnt have to let a man, any man disrespect him openly, so the win in that particualyy case wouldve been to not verbally fight back, but to dominate on the field every rep in silence, which doesnt require him to buddy buddy up with a man he doesnt respect, but also still not F up his bag and reputation and remain coachable.

Again, I only tell that story because there are stars at all these camps, coaches everywhere, and not all kids will be flying to Colorado to walk step in hand with Prime to the promise land. And the ones that do, will portal their way out of there if they feel like shyt isnt solid behind the scenes. Im not taking up for Cormani, but his Head Coach did blast him multiple times in media and bench him, and he just saw DBs who are the coaches friends/family get torched weekly, while his eldest son roams the field with cell phones and video cameras and jewelry and the all flexing on everything, and he may not feel like this is a solid program. Or, he could be a dumb, overrated kid. Who knows...

Reminded me of how them kids used to talk to Cam Newton in his camps.
