Canelo is a JMW...if GGG want this work, he can come on down to 154 or make a catchweight with the JMW instead of trying to drag him up to the full Middleweight limit
GGG himself isn't willing to fight any SMW's at their full weight limit (asked for catchweights with Froch, JCC Jr, & Ward)....so why would a JMW have to come up to HIS division without a catchweight?

I went back and forth with the brehs Reflex and SOG about Canelo blatantly ducking GGG already...I said my piece on that months ago & even posted above that Canelo vs GGG at 160 is officially
status to me and should never be mentioned again:To me, this stamps the fact that Canelo will be fighting his next couple fights at 154....so the talk about Canelo vs GGG happening at 160 is officially
However, if Canelo has a chance to grab the belt at 154 and fight better opponents at 154 (Andrade, Williams, Charlos, Lubin, Lara, etc) than he could at 160, then why would I be upset about it.....I wanted him to stay at 154 all along anyways and thought the whole plan was to just jump to 155 to get the Lineal/RING/WBC Middleweight Champion Of The World stamp on his Boxing passport, and then vacate and go back home to 154.
GGG stans/media pushed his back against the wall, but obviously, Canelo aint feeling it. If he's not feeling fighting at 160, then why should he? So GGG could get a win against a guy who's smaller than him and has never weighed in above 155?
Nah. GGG wanted the belt...he got it. Canelo left the division, he don't want to fight at 160, so I don't see what the problem is. Canelo trying to fight Smith for a Championship, it shouldn't be any issues, especially when GGG fights low quality opps all the time due to Championships and was just trying to fight Billy Joe Saunders for his Championship

For a guy whose appeal has been his willingness to fight everyone this was a real soft year from him. Canelo's career had been handled perfectly but 2016 wasn't a fantastic look for him.
