Can you tell the difference between the average ADOS and West African person at a glance?

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Im assuming this is based off Americanized immigrants/children of immigrants? Because you can obviously tell a foreigner by their accent.

I can usually tell an African off physical appearance, the only ones that get kinda tricky to point out are Nigerians sometimes, until I see their names.

I can easily point out Haitians lol. Other Caribbean people are kinda hard to point out off physical appearance, I can usually tell by the way they carry themselves. OT Genasis looks super African, so I was surprised when I found out he was from Belize.

i remember when I was young people use to think they can point out Haitians specifically using ignorance. There was a Jamaican kid in my class that was bullied all because they didn’t believe he was Jamaican and kept accusing him of being Haitian even though he has an obvious “Jamaican” accent.

I’m actually more impressed when someone can spot out a Haitian based off intelligence rather than ignorance.

There was a Haitian girl who looked Dominican in high school. They always made a big deal about her appearance. But I’m like ummmmm….there is a whole section of Haiti where the majority of the residence look like her.

Haitian light skin people either look like Dominicans/Rican or look just like Louisiana creole people

my mom has many Haitian mulattos in her family. Some look like deron Williams and some look straight Puerto Rican

Very interesting topic. Im Nigerian and Haitians have been speaking Kreyol to me since I got to Miami.
They hit the :dwillhuh: when I reply in English. Not surprised though, I have a very pan African look:blessed:. I could be from Ghana, Senegal, Sierra Leone, or Kenya

My Ghanaian friend goes through this all the time in Brooklyn with Haitians.

He actually told me Haitians remind him of Ghanaians on Ghana.

Foreign black women have some ugly ass feet. I remember when I used to have braids, the African chick that twisted me up was pretty as fukk but her feet looked like they belonged to Rosa Parks.

I can tell a West African about 80% of the time from facial features alone. South Africans can be a bit trickier.

He definitely looks like he’s from the Islands. I can’t tell you the differences between any of them but he looks like an Islander.

#ADOS
I’ve met all types of Africans living in nyc and I swear the only the time one fooled me was this African girl who was Senegalese with French background. I thought she was AA until I saw her last name
That's bc nyc ados tend to be from areas (sc, nc) that purposefully sought out slaves from senegambia.

Speech patterns

I can clearly tell this lady is AA

I know her.

If it's so easy to tell why were ados leaders salvating at the mouth yelling about looking at people's bios and investigating backgrounds to tell where they are from???Why was #AdosGang surprised that 21 Savage wasn't ados when he was being threatened with deportation??
I personally didn't even know there were foreign blacks in the south like that, for one. My fam in SC don't know any at all. But, tbf, my cousin in Atlanta married one.

Haitians always looked Beninese to me. shyt, I think either most or at least a significant portion of their DNA is from Benin.
At the bolded part - That's true. Many slaves that were taken to Haiti (Saint Domingue as the French used to call it) came from what is now Benin. IIRC about 50% of came from the Kongo Kingdom (Western DRC, Congo Brazza and Northwest Angola) and ~25% from The Bight of Benin/Slave Coast (Togo, Benin and SW Nigeria).

Eh, maybe he just doesn’t have the language for it but there is some truth to it.

From what I’ve seen, a lot of the feet may have a darker tone than the rest of the body which gives it the appearance of being ‘worn’. It could simply just be a higher presence of melanin in that area. Or because sandals are pretty much worn everywhere, that the feet are exposed to more elements.

But there is some truth to it. I’ve made sort of the same observations over the years. Although I wouldn’t characterize them as Rosa Parks feet. :mjlol:

She was a light skin, middle class, black woman who probably had a pedicure every month.
