Can you tell the difference between the average ADOS and West African person at a glance?

Fivio foerign is an example of a black man I cannot tell where he’s from. Well I know he ain’t African. Always thought breh was a Caribbean man but he’s actually fully ADOS

New York nikkas don’t count.

They so disconnected from real ADOS culture they might as well be foreigners too.

He looks Jamaican or something.

Eh, maybe he just doesn’t have the language for it but there is some truth to it.

From what I’ve seen, a lot of the feet may have a darker tone than the rest of the body which gives it the appearance of being ‘worn’. It could simply just be a higher presence of melanin in that area. Or because sandals are pretty much worn everywhere, that the feet are exposed to more elements.

But there is some truth to it. I’ve made sort of the same observations over the years.
it's retarded.

What you are describing has to do with how people are raised and their personal upkeep. Plus wearing a lot of open toe shoes. It's not genetic There's no such thing as all African women having a type of fukked up Harriet Tubman foot. How many times must people be reminded Africa is a fukking continent. And why even take shots at Harriet?

I love when people come on here and share dumb shyt about a continent I grew up on and they sound like cacs who just finished watching national geographic. I'm African. Nobody has ever successful pinned where I'm from by looking at me irl. Not even other Kenyans know where I'm from. My family is probably more fair skin than most American Black people and not mixed, I'm dark. Apparently neither of these things are possible because we all have uniform looks.

A nikka in here said west Africa is an ethnicity then someone that hates Africans come in with the feet comment. It's always the ultra xenophobe c00ns on here with the dumb takes.

I said the thing that divides a lot of us on here is really education. All the most divisive people on here are the least educated. They always tryna beef too.

Sometimes but it's not as pronounced. Over Thanksgiving, my sister had her neighbor over. So I thought was Ghanian but hes actually from NC and his whole family. For the most part, I can distinguish if someone is from the caribbean tho, especially my island or my Parents island.

You aren’t from here. Black ADOS New Yorkers are very connected to ADOS culture.

There is a running joke in Brooklyn that you never see ADOS in the summer because they are down south in The Carolina’s and Virginia with their family.

This guy is an Americanized Nigerian. He's spent years trying to look American but despite that, you can see he's African. His face gave it away.

I'm not being disingenuous, I can easily spot an African from a mile away, and like I said in my first comment that facial features aren't the only way to distinguish an African and an ADOS individual if both were standing next to each other, it goes back to what I said about demeanor and personalities.

I don't disagree with you in entirety, but how do you mean spent years though? That's how the brother looks; his sister is CNN's Zain Asher and she looks somewhat different. Some Nigerians, especially Igbo and Efik are light-skinned with African features. I'm Yoruba and we get light-skinned people from my Dad's side of the family as well.

You should check out the Nigerian rapper Phyno. Don't lie that he can't pass for ADOs, if he grew up in America.

That said, I do agree that you can tell to a certain degree

That's bc nyc ados tend to be from areas (sc, nc) that purposefully sought out slaves from senegambia.

I know her.

I personally didn't even know there were foreign blacks in the south like that, for one. My fam in SC don't know any at all. But, tbf, my cousin in Atlanta married one.

Atlanta and Southern Florida and Texas and I guess North Carolina now

West Africans even recognize their people off first glance

When I was in Ghana, people knew I was Nigerian straight away. Now whether it was off looks alone, vibe, or a combination, I can't be sure.

There are some ways Black Americans vibe, that is just not the Nigerian, I agree that it cannot be replicated. Wale, always throws me off. He looks Nigerian, but just by the way he styles his hair and dresses, he would be a total misfit over here.
