There isn't anyone in this draft who will be equivalent to Dirk so what are you really saying? That last sentence is absurd so I'll just agree to disagree.

He's small. He's not only shorter than advertised but physically he doesn't have much weight to him, hes frail-looking, doesn't have long arms, etc. In comparison, Sabo is 6'3" but he's much more physically imposing than TY, has a 6'8" wingspan etc. That stuff matters.

I don't if GMs were bad at their job and drafted terribly. You're pointing out Euros who were underdrafted due to stigmas or lack of info about foreign players at the time to justify why a Euro shouldn't be a high lotto pick?
He is a gigantic perimeter player who can handle the ball and has elite court vision. Who knows if he solves his weaknesses. None of us know who will bust or succeed.
The Hawks got the better end of the deal RIGHT NOW but given the pick will likely not amount to much then it comes down to Trae vs Luka. If Luka is as good as Dragic or Hedo, its unlikely we will say the Hawks won barring Trae looking like Steph Curry nor will him going top 5 look crazy in a redraft a few years from now.
you know why, because he was RAW. Luka is highly skilled with the ball but NBA athleticism could really bother him. he is the 3rd pick in a deep draft. its crazy how raw athletes with elite length get passed over if they are black or non-white but a white guy with elite ball skills warrants such a high pick. I dont see them doing that for all of the non-white players with elite ball skills. so lets call this one like it is. 
a black player with average athleticism just isnt getting picked that high on a regular basis, I dont care how good his ball skills are.
