LOL. Roman is the only person THEY want to bring the title back from vacation. I do agree about booking to a point. But people don't even have a legit reason for booing Roman as much as they do. "they're trying to shove him down out throat" isn't that serious. it's a laughable reason to boo that hard. People were still booing Roman when he got demoted to the US title, for what reason? Roman isn’t interesting, nor has he developed a real connection to the audience. That alone is enough. You can’t force the crowd to like a guy and trying to shame them into it only makes them dig their heels in further. He’s headlined the biggest show of the year four years straight and there’s still no end in sight, nor was there ever a demand for him as the top guy in the first place. It’s not just that he’s at the top of the card, it’s that they have no reason to be invested in him at all. He’s the same cardboard cutout he was in 2014. You have to develop a character for the crowd to care about them. They have to grow and progress as a solo star 95% of the time in order for the crowd to accept them as a main event caliber guy. They tried to skip all that with Roman and there’s nothing to indicate that that strategy has ever worked except with Goldberg and Brock for the most part.

For all the booing people do...soon as he does the "ooooooohhh ahhhhhh" shyt....people be right there doing it with him. He doesn't really have bad matches, and I'm saying that as a person that hates his moveset, but he uses that moveset well. Most people don't even know why they hate him THIS much. He got demoted down to the U.S. title, people kept booing heavy....why? People got their wish of him being away from the main event, but they kept booing heavy. At a certain point it was just crowd participation. Boo him during his entrance, then "ooooooooh ahhhhhh" with him during the good part of the match. Also, you ask why they trust him....they put the title on Finn...injured. The put the title on Seth....injured. The put the title on KO with no real planning and that led to Oldberg and that ended up being trash. They know what they have in Roman.

It worked back in early 2000s because we were still fresh from WCW closing. The people were still used to two rival companies being around. They used to treat Smackdown and Raw as two competing brands with different ppvs, separate magazines, b-shows, commentaries, shyt talking between each brand, etc. We don't get that now. Cena can jump to different brands whenever he wants, Graves comments on both shows, and less than two years we're back to co-ppvs. Wouldn't surprise me by the end of the year we'll be having Raw Supershows again.
