Can we all admit that Life After Death is the greatest Hip Hop album of all time?

Nah on 3 reasons:
  1. Disc 2>>>>Disc 1
  2. "B.I.G Bring that ass to mEEEEEE"
  3. Half of the album is dated as hell
Now if the album actually received the Blueprint 2 treatment, it would have been on par with his superior first album.

Id say that as far as setting the blueprint for having a piece of everything on it, yea its one of the goats if not thee goat.
How you gonna set a blueprint when that blueprint was just set by pac and being emulated by Biggie, clearly.

You can tell Big heard LIFE GOES ON,went in the MISS U recording session and created his life.
Same thing with the double album concept.
You can tell he heard what's yo phone number and made Nasty Boy.
You can tell he heard Run the streets and Created ANOTHER.

:stopitslime:

1. Both discs are equally great. I don't care what nobody say. Nothing weak. You got ya street shyt and then ya club/commercial joints and they all work perfectly.
2. He says, "Puff Daddy, B.I.G.".... He was singing their names and just representing everyone in the song.
3. Nothing on that album is dated. In fact, it's the opposite, it's timeless.

:yeshrug:I like the album and play it from time to time, but eh. To each it's own.

The album marks the end of a profound and magical an era to me. :mjcry:

When I listen to LAD, I think what of what could've been next. Like how could he have come back with another album just as great or even on the level of it? I mean, I thought the same thing after RTD dropped and then he did the unthinkable. :wow:
