A Christian is a Christian by their walk, not their proclamations. If I am an enforcer that murders people, but repent after each assignment, only to keep doing it, I'm not a murderous Christian, I'm a murderer that reads the Bible and asks for God to overlook my weakness and sin.

You ain't gotta be perfect to be Christian, but you can't incorporate your sin in conjunction with your walk.

You may have temptations from that which you have been delivered from, but if you are truly a Christian, you know how to hand those over to God.

The confusion always seem to be that Christianity is about perfection. When the entire Bible continuously repeats that no human can ever be perfect.

It instead states that we must confess and repent for ours sins to God and turn over a new leaf.

If you think repenting for your sin so you can be “safe” and going back to do the same thing tomorow is a thing, well that’s covered. Because there are alcholics who really don’t care about being sober but will lie to you, and others that truly struggle and sometimes fall off the wagon but continue to try and make it 45 days/years etc some forever but when they do fall off, are distraught and seek help. You would have more mercy on the latter, as God sees the latter as His own.

Also the less you live in sin the less you desire it. It’s really not “that” hard if you’re married and don’t cheat on your spouse, don’t steal or lie. Obvisouly don’t murder etc. And you will still sin but you know not to live in it, you are convicted by feeling guilty for doing things you KNOW you shouldn’t.

Because God tells everyone to come as you are and Jesus preached a message of love and forgiveness unconditionally

I think it’s a testament to the Christian community that even gays feel like they’d be accepted among church people or in the church services

They’re still hearing the message at the end of the day which is in all those choir songs, preachers messages and bible study

It’s up to them to receive it or not and actually take the next step to seek a PERSONAL relationship with god beyond what “religion” provides

I don’t see why not. There is no prohibition, biblical or otherwise, against homosexuality (i.e., same-sex attraction) but rather of homosexual acts. It is absurd to prohibit anyone being what he or she is; it is only reasonable to have laws in place that prevent him or her acting in such a manner because of what he or she is.

1. Sexual immorality covers just about everything outside of Marriage and thats made pretty clear throughout the entire Bible narrative

No wiggle room as you’re trying to insinuate with texts being changed. You’d literally have to remove the entire story of sodom & Gomorrah. Or just reinterpret the God and/or say the scriptures were “corrupted” as Muslims do.

2. God created everything GOOD and with an intended purpose but people have free will and are responsible with how they turn out and live their lives given all the factors we know and don’t even know or understand.

3. Ethiopian Jews been around before “Christianity” began if you believe the Bible.
And the people of Jerusalem 2000 years ago weren’t “white”. No saying they need to be any particular color but that race based religious narrative blacks and whites love to focus on today didn’t even exist back then.
