every movie needs humor, a joke or 2, some smiles, anything... i don't care what it is. anything short of the friggin holocaust should have a couple laughs. that's why Nolan movies in general are chores for me to watch. people clinging to shyt like "what about when Levitt kissed Ellen Page in Inception? that was kinda funny." TDK's star character is named "Joker" and the biggest laugh in the movie is when he says Maggie Gyllenhaal is beautiful. DC running wit hthe ultra gritty, no humor style is fukkin stupid and it's one of the main reasons I don't get pumped about their announcements.

yeah,.....
tdkr is an incredibly excellent film with superior plot twist and you don't know how batman is going to save the day till the last frame.
incredible fukkin movie, and it rivals tdk in quality which was incredibly difficult to do.
plus, made the worst villains in comicdom.
next to onslaught, and the wackness that killed superman.
I hope you are not alluding to tkdr being a shyt film.
especially since it made excellent good out of one of the worst characters and story acs in batman's lineage.
sorry, not even going to tolerate someone trying to diss dc.
When, dc finally got it right three times in a row.
when it came to their main properties in superman and batman.
there is no way you are going to allude to the batman Nolan franchise as being low quality.
especially, when dc has historically and in legacy fukked up batman and superman damn near beyond repair quality/perception wise.

yet, I believe they could possibly find some unknown in Canada or a foreign guy like they like to do.

there is no white boy alive who can be Bruce Wayne.
as Wayne is a complete fictional character in every aspect physically.
to this day, I never seen a white cat and been like he could be Bruce Wayne.
maybe with superman because he was marketed to us from Fleischer cartoons to numerous tv shows where they patterned superman to have a distinct look.
where the audience is conditioned to know what is acceptable for superman.
with Bruce Wayne they have never been able to successfully do that in a live action situation.
as, Bruce Wayne is a complete work of fiction that is virtually impossible to find an actor with full convincability.
so, we settle for what is available castings.
as, far as batman/bruce wayne is concerned.

which has to occur cause if you have campiness in batman after Adam west.
you will ruin batman as a film property like in the schumacher era of film.
where we had to wait for the Nolan era batman.

absolutely.

in fact batman forever is really the only movie imo that scratches the surface of the "duality" within bruce.

keaton was the best batman but as bruce wayne he was pretty regular. not his fault, he just didn't have anything to do.

bale had the most to do as bruce AND batman... i just didn't think he was very good in the role.

but kilmer was head and shoulders the best bruce wayne. glad to see someone else recognize it.
