just because the ball isnt in play dosnt necessarily mean the game dosnt have action or excitement in it
watching the QB break the huddle approaching the line of scrimmage reading the defense calling an audible instructing his line men where to block his receivers/backs where to line up & what route to run --- then watch the defense react to all the shyt going on is very exciting
rather then a batter -adjusting his privates, spitting into his gloves, stomping on the dirt for grip, taking 6 half swings before a pitch is thrown

In terms of the in between action you mentioned in football, a lot of it is based on how much interest you have in the sport. Like you see baseball and all you see is players adjusting there gloves, i'm thinking about what pitch the pitcher might throw, is the hitter gonna hit into a double play, can he move the runner over, can he crack a home run. In reality the average nfl fan doesn't know much about line formations (as was mentioned in a previous coli post) . Another thing thats appealing about the in-between action in baseball during big games especially, is that you can see the tension of the moment all over the park in the hitter's eyes, the pitcher's eyes, the manager in the dugout or the fans on the edge of their seat. The loud atmosphere in the playoffs heightens the drama which is why I think baseball players should be more interactive with the fans in terms of hyping up big moments in the game. You think you'd feel the exact same way about the qb making his play calls and all that other shyt you mentioned if the crowd was as chilled and laid back as in a baseball game. Sometimes when people look at entertainment they overrate action and underrate suspense. Football like baseball is more suspense driven than action driven like basketball, hockey, or soccer are. Football seems more action packed because every game has a playoff atmosphere but in reality the pace of action isn't that far from a baseball game.

Dog...I know friends of club promoters (not the actual club promoters who obviously pull) in the downtown scene who always got a bangin chick on their bed. I"m not sure if they can but there are so many stages to finally get to the big leagues vs football & basketball where you know the direct path to become professional. Baseball was my 1st love & the sport I started playing.
Yeah I love the redskins, but I really loved David Justice, maddux, smotz, glavine, sid bream, pendleton, blauser etc & just everything about the braves in the 90s. My son is 7 & is getting into sports. I will push him towards baseball because of the injury factor.
I would never let him play football because I've said before on here I played at every level except the NFL & I had over 10 documented concussions, torn acl, broken collar bone, broken forearm etc.. & I sometimes suffer from memory loss. Baseball is more safer sport & if my son can excelled at that then that would be good for me.
Imo, baseball can be boring to watch but fun to play. Our society now loves everything fast like b-ball & football so the attention span for casual baseball fans can waver fast.
