How many healthy, still able to play at a high level players would you say have retired for this reason?

I dont think alot of ex players if they could maintain health would want to keep doing what Bron is doing at 40 outside of the Bronny thing....assuming they didnt piss away there career earnings.

You tell me. Whatever your definition is. How many healthy dudes, playing at whatever you define as a high level have said "Thats enought, Ima just stop"?
I would agree that no player would stop if their play and stats was leading to chips but that’s not the case for Lebron. He’s just spinn His wheel like a hamster at this point

Stop chatting nonsense, which nba player has resigned while still being top 15 player in the league and playing at an all nba level also still getting into the playoffs and having deep playoff runs like the western conference finals? This is just nonsense

He loves the limelight and doesnt want to give it up that and the Bronny thing i think are the only reasons hes still playing....Nikkas talking about all nba's do you really think he cares about 24-25 ALL NBAs ? Why would he care most ppl have made up there mind on where he stands a few more all star seasons where hes hanigng on isnt gonna change anyones mind...

No other player had Brons stamped #2 legacy they didnt need too or they didnt have a rookie son in the league.
I dont get this argument that because hes all nba at 40 that should spark his decision to play until 44...Who gives a fukk if nobody else did it thats not a reason to leep playing because nobody else ever did it lol....

Who cares hes 40 whats he doing it for outside of paychecks ?

You're right, playing NBA basketball at an elite level sucks and has zero upside. I don't know why anyone would do it if it wasn't for the salary. :comeon:

Why did Jordan come back to the Wizards? Why did Tom Brady keep playing until 45? Why is 48yo Tiger Woods still grinding when it's physically painful for him to play? Why did Federer not retire until he was 40? Why did Gordie Howe keep going until injuries forced him out at 43? Why was Duncan still giving it his all at 40?

Great players keep going until they are no longer great. They love the game. Bron is still a great player, if you were looking solely at his gameplay rather than his age, you wouldn't dream of telling him that it's time to retire.

After the Bronny thing he’s gonna find some other reason to hang around imo

Because you get old and dont wanna go thru the day to day bullshyt of an NBA player anymore esp if you dont need the money.

You're just making up shyt. No one playing at his level has ever retired for that reason.

It’s obvious Lebron is in it for the money and limelight more than the chance to impact winning a chip

Yeah, when he was playing 43 minutes/game on an injured foot in the 2023 WCF, he definitely was just looking for money, not trying to win a chip. :mjlol:

Y'all just say anything at this point, and it comes solely from projecting your own feelings rather than from anything you see. 20 years of hate has rotted your brains.

Maybe if Lebron did what he was supposed to when he was supposed to then he wouldn’t still be chasing the ghost in Chicago.
