NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
DMX (other than 2pac) is the most well rounded rap artist of all time

Nas is a lyrical specialist borderline wack outside of his lane

Plus Nas don't even bark on his records :rudy:

Nas tried to imitate X once and it was horrible

DMX outshined Nas on every song they did

DMX even was killing Nas on the lyrical tip

Nas is the Hell Rell of queenbridge why we even comparing him to dark man x :mindblown:

Tragedy vs DMX would be a better match up

U a weirdo when it comes to Nas bruh. Real talk.

X is one of my favorite rappers of all time and no the fukk way if we speaking overall. Nas literally just had the best verses on DMX’s last album Yall buggin tf out. Lol.

I love X to death but this isn't even close if we're being real...Nas is a legitimate GOAT contender if not the GOAT depending on who you ask...I'm not gonna bother reading the thread

I chose X but it’s a close call. But while we’re here let’s enjoy a classic DJ Rectangle drop with a classic DMX verse over a classic Nas beat

:mjcry:
Time stamp at 2 min 40s cause I can’t figure out how to do the shyt :mindblown:

I’m one of the biggest DMX fans on this entire site. Prolly that I know in real life as well. This isn’t a legitimate argument at this point. X one of the GOATS but Nas is legit top 3 contender.

Only things X wins at are being better at anthems+ladies tracks, and a superior live performer. Nas wins everything else.

My Nas stannery makes me want to argue that Black Girl Lost and the songs about his divorce on LIG give X a run for his money, but truthfully nothing is touching How It's Goin' Down. shyt, I don't even know if any of LL's female songs are touching How's It Goin' Down.

dmx was always an overacheiver.... NaS was Born great. there is a difference.
DMX made 5 albums of material in 3 years THEN he fell off. He had ruff ryders on his back and has numerous classic cypher songs.... thats where all his best rhymes went. after the 3rd album he was done. But contractually obligated.

X never really had any substance to me.Not consistently, at least.[/B]

Always seemed like the missing member of Onyx, with a horrorcore twist.

He's pure adrenaline rush/workout music to me.

I don't see the Pac comparisons, neither.Maybe physical/energy wise

but musically, Pac was a lot more poetic/soulful.I'd even say spiritual.

X couldn't hit you with a White Man's World.X's generic prayer skits always made him come off superficial to me.

I know some folks was digging it, but it's was never that original IMO

You obviously never listened to a DMX album, he is all substance :dahell:

Although great depression and grand champ were decent and had some gems, this is pretty spot on. Dmx's rapping ability started to decline after the 3rd album.

Fukk this thread :hhh:

For me, DMX is absolutely better than Nas. To those that don’t agree, I ain’t arguing with ya. It’s all preference. But don’t sit here and act like Nas has classic album upon classic album. It isn’t outrageous for someone to feel and connect more with DMX
