honestly, I feel its a Harlem rapper thing in general. they're like the least "I need to get out of the hood" set of rappers ever.
they are comfy as hell getting some money, fly and chilling in Harlem for days without a break

Cam seen his number two in Mase become a star then seen what Dame was doing with Jay and just wanted it

also, people are clearly misunderstanding his point when he says Hov level, he literally says in terms of being the father to everybody out of NY in the future.
which I actually take away from that is that Cam is actually underestimating how influential Jim and Juelz actually are/were to the city and to younger rappers like Chief Keef and his crew, and a slew of the young Atlanta rappers whether its Thug/Gunna, Lucci, Takeoff/Offset etc

in 2005 Wayne/Juelz/Jeezy felt like the next superstars

Yes this is why you have Fredo Santana.

I saw juelz off the rocka woth lean in his cup at a bodega on 151 and st nich. This was like 5 yrs ago.

He aint on that wave of rappin for real.

But he did have the potential. No one can say different. He could have been a household name.

Juelz/lloyd/fab literally set NYC hip hop back a generation because of how lazy they were
Fab chased trends which he shouldn't but still had good work ethic.
Lloyd stuck to the gritty persona

Juelz was plain lazy and undisciplined after The Second Coming. Honestly , I never seen how people put him as a lyrical genius .

Banks being mentioned is interesting, because him and Julez were contemporaries …same age, their respective debut albums and follow ups dropped within a year or so of each other… if Julez was supposed to be a legendary all-timer, where does Banks fall into this mix? Cause Banks at his peak was both bigger and more highly regarded than Juelz from how I remember it
banks falling off was a result of g unit as a whole falling off, the game/d block beef and his second album fumble damaged his brand and stunted his growth popularity wise but had all that drama not happened, banks buck and game would have definitely had longer runs as platinum selling artists

that being said, by 06 juelz was hotter than banks, his sophomore album was more successful and he was on a more upwards trajectory career wise before he fumbled it

Game sold 4-5 million without ever knowing how to write a song

Buck went platinum after Juvey’s tour bus leaving him

Banks went double out of the gate and gold on his own merits with a comeback record

Don’t confuse 50 being one of the bigger artists ever with what the nikkax he brought along should’ve been

THIS.

They all over-achieved because of the g-unit/interscope stimulus.

Juelz definitely didn’t reach his star trajectory cause of Juelz. He was unbelievably lazy like Cam was alluding to.

Mase was number 1 to Cam.

Harlem for the most part is a pretty well off area in comparison to other NY hoods. Most Harlem nikkas love being from Harlem,

It aint like Harlem is some place people are trying to "make it out of". If anything nikkas just want to get money so they can stunt IN HARLEM :mjlol:

Shoot, out of towners try moving TO Harlem. I cant count how many times in my life dudes and girls from Brooklyn,Bronx and Queens would tell me how they are trying to move to Harlem.

Juelz was on fire after Diplomatic Immunity & his first album dropped in ‘03. Santana’s Town was really poppin. Then it was like he literally never dropped anything hot ever again LOL Ever. His second album was weak, the second Dip Set album was TRASH :skip:
